He’s been involved in debunking scientific misinfo for decades at Science Based Medicine. I mean he is the OG. I respect him greatly. Definitely a person to follow. @gorskon.bsky.social

What NIH website? Were you directed to specific papers by someone? Did you read all of the literature on the topic or just a few cherry picked ones?

He is contemptible

You have a large platform. Respectfully, you have a responsibility to not spread misinformation. I just had someone tell me that everybody here already knows that RFK Jr. is a liar who spreads misinformation. This simply isn’t true. And here we are.

Correct.

If you let me know of your specific concerns and I will try to address. The trace amount of aluminum in vaccines helps boost immune response. It has been shown repeatedly to be safe. Ethylmercury is used in a couple of vaccines and is safe. Please read work from experts. www.cdc.gov/vaccines/bas....

Indeed. I’ve mentioned that many times.

Not everyone, in fact, knows this.

Agree. But I have said from the moment he took office that none of us can take on all of it. We each need focus on and peel back the corner where we can be most effective, and this is mine.

You too. 💕

I like it.

More about the Federal Register problem. Another thing that sounds like boring bureaucratic wording but that in reality has profound effects on the ability for science to proceed. bsky.app/profile/eliz...

If you go to the link I posted the counties are listed: Dawson Ector Gaines Lubbock Lynn Terry Yoakum, and of course New Mexico with cases as well.

Tens of thousands of scientists warned the Senate of the dangers of RFK Jr. leading HHS. Everything we warned about is coming to fruition. Yet these Senators sit silently as the guy they confirmed fails to even address a huge measles outbreak. He can’t, or he’ll have to admit he’s a fucking liar.

He has not.

The only thing here that brings me any comfort is that the hospitalization rate seems to be falling. On the other hand, that could mean that newer cases haven’t been hospitalized…yet. I would also be curious to see data regarding whether any vaccinated patients were hospitalized.

I don’t personally know a whole lot about if it remains largely within the Mennonite community or has spread elsewhere.

Most of the country had no idea what HPV even was at the time, so I struggle to imagine teenagers being all like I got a shot today! Who can I have sex with immediately?!? And then of course the science proved that the feared outcome didn’t happen.

Was just thinking that susflum is a great word let’s make it happen

Hey Dr. Chapple! It’s great to see you here!

RFK Jr. has cancelled this months ACIP meeting because he needs to install some henchmen first. He also said he wants to take a hard look at all vaccines, as if it hasn’t been done already. He has said in the past that HPV vaccine causes cancer. So, I don’t know, but things don’t look good.

We are going to lose the entire next generation of scientists.
