The words you're using don't convey the gravity of the actions

You just hope she catches a poll that shows her way underwater and a real challenger starts up a campaign on the news

Why even go back? If I got termed like that, I'd say screw you and good luck

Democracy dies in broad daylight if your reporting is: "Trump is flexing his muscles in controversial ways" versus reality, "Trump administration flagrantly violates the constitution, robs Americans of their rights and Elon musk is illegally stealing your data without congressional approval

All observation is biased. Your job is to uncover the truth. Right? Hitler says he's not a Nazi. An observer says "Hitler says he's not a Nazi" a *journalist* says, "known Nazi Hitler lies to crowd and says he's not a Nazi." One is just what you see. The other is *the truth*

Watching the world burn. Is this hell? I'm pretty sure it's hell.

I bet. And having a governor that could remove him but is apparently afraid of seeming political because she's holding him accountable for patently corrupt conduct.

What the fucking hell. You get the feel they relish the fall of democracy.

This woman has more balls than every single dem congressional rep and senator. They all need to be calling her a fucking hero and tearing the house down over this

What the actual fuck Chuck. DOJ officials are quitting over Trump's corruption and you're on about inflation. Our Republic is crumbling. They are disregarding the Constitution and you're on about this. Denounce this shit NOW!

Gorging on the unrestrained flow of vacuity.

Which is terrible because he laid the groundwork for it

Dude is mega compromised now

Aren't you in Congress? What actions are you taking. Can you share those?

This is really heartbreaking. Waiting while they dismantle everything. What's left to save in two years?

We're not working with fascists. Stop talking about how you'll find the middle ground and start talking about what you'll do about all this illegal activity! The house is burning down around you and you're still wondering if we can negotiate with the arsonist!

People are suing DOGE right? Is that going anywhere?

The media: Trump engages forcefully in trade negotiations.

We pay for our mistakes but elect leaders who make them again, or fail to prioritize undoing the damage. I don't think Biden was terrible, but I think he failed to address the mistakes we made in a meaningful way. And so we keep paying and give in to broad cynicism.

I often wonder if the regret and the consequences matter? Brexit happened and leaders aren't asking how to rejoin the EU. Or maybe they are? (Not British) But are we learning? Are we changing? I'm pretty sure we didn't roll back all the first Trump tariffs right? Maybe that's what you're saying.

Trying to get more stoned in hopes that the existential dread will die down. It's not working but I'm gonna keep at it.

And I'm not saying you're running cover. I'm saying that your context above isn't helpful. You're complaining people aren't reading your piece but you lead people to believe you're laying out a case for why it's a troll. Elon is a Nazi. Maybe he thinks he's a troll, but you can't play Nazi pretend.
comment in response to post
The thing you're doing here isn't helpful. Elon did a Nazi salute on live TV. He did it twice. He did it within the context of many other actions which, while one can question how we got here, lead you to only one place. Elon musk is a Nazi. Full stop

I agree completely. How did we end up in the fucked timeline...

And to be clear, I'm not saying red note isn't getting a ton of influx. But like, who actually commits to it, who just downloaded it in protest and are the numbers truly significant in the larger context?
comment in response to post
I'm not dismissing anything, but I'm also curious on the actual impact here. If *thousands* of tick tock refugees go there, is that significant, or something we'll collectively forget in 3 months
comment in response to post
One has to ask. A 216% increase of what number? I mean, say Duolingo has 10k Chinese learners. That increase is significant for Duolingo, but also not in the larger context. And all the hay over kids jumping to rednote seems silly too. A subset of a subset of younger folks is running to a new app

It's sad that I'm surprised by this. Though I'm not surprised at who wanted to grant the stay
