I don't see how it would stick beyond a couple of days, unless something has recently changed with how default apps work?

It's absolutely technically possible because it's exactly the same executable, but I swear I thought it required your users be licensed, too. Or something like that.

For the Server license, you have to license everyone with something too, right?

I work in higher ed, but here's what Microsoft told me a while back: make sure all your real users are licensed, make sure your total number of devices is less than 5 times the number of licensed users, and if you get audited, indicate that one or more users *could* use the device.

Good indication that it works properly.

I think a lot of questions are about to be answered, unfortunately.
But I did what I could. I voted. I encouraged others to vote. I told them what was at stake. So I can at least say I don't have a guilty conscience.

The Republicans *literally* believe 14-year-olds should be paying for their school lunches from money they make from after-school jobs. They may literally also believe that the elderly, disabled, and frail should be working.
This would have been comedy 36 months ago, but today I think it's real.

I don't even agree with this article's premise that there is "significant bloat" in the agency. That's an outside-looking-in view.

Still patiently waiting to be able to right-click a workstation object and rename it straight from ADUC.

SO GOOD.
I despise the whole Meta brand. It *could* be a great brand, but everything it does is antithetical to wellness.

What even is this? I'm just not familiar with these terms.

Shit like CloudFront is too complicated to setup. This shit is so easy on other platforms.

We are thinking about switching from Dell completely.
I confirmed with Dell that there WILL NOT be a 15-inch or 16-inch laptop going forward with over 300-nits screen -- only for 14-inch or smaller.

Can we just talk about how stupid it is that this is required to begin with? My God, I wish Apple and Microsoft could get together to make this not be a thing.

I hope we can get to a point on Bluesky where we can ban people for specific sentences like this. Unless it were in quotes or something, I cannot imagine any productive reason that sentence should be typed.

Yeah, I'm not gonna engage in this childish stuff. Blocked.

What is preventing Democrats from just VOTING?
comment in response to

Please don't go down that road. It was bullshit when Republicans tried it, and it'll be the same for Democrats.
Democrats didn't show up -- point blank.

We have a system where we can prevent this stuff. Yet we don't use it.
Honestly, as evil are Republicans are, Democrats are equally as complacent. Voting was the way out of this mess, and we screwed it up yet again.
Can't make this stuff up: wait 2 months AFTER the election to do something.

Yeah...maybe 2 months ago.
The election was Nov. 5, 2024. Why are we getting so angry on Feb. 2, 2025? The election was not even close. Democrats didn't vote, DESPITE Republicans telling us exactly what they were going to do.
Democrat voters are the biggest issue. Continual delayed outrage.

But what even is THIS? Protests? Riots? Republican leadership and Republican leaders are unmoved by any of this. It's already been proven.
The elephant in the room is the time to do this was in November. I'm so very tired of Democrats getting worked up only *after* elections.
