I will forever annoyed when I see “obese” or “overweight” in a physical exam. BMI is a (often flawed) calculation that already appears in the vitals and the “problem list”. Writing it in the exam is an unnecessary and harmful visual judgment. Period.

Everyone loves Mark Cuban’s pharma company because he doesn’t profit off of cancer patients as much as some others but at the end of the day he’s doing it because he is profiting off of cancer patients. They literally add a 15% markup to their production cost, plus a $3 “pharmacy fee” & shipping.

Because ICE do not have an unrestricted legal right to enter patient care areas, hospitals and EDs must work now to take control their access. If a hospital area is closed to the public - it can be closed to ICE. ICE agents should be treated like any other visitor - with restricted access.
