Can't believe folks still have faith in laws and the Constitution. They've not delivered justice for large swaths of the population since the formation of US, and now they're not working for anyone but billionaires, but folks still believe they'll keep us safe.

Ryan’s shameful ouster is on all of them, for sure, but don’t sleep on AG Jason Miyares. UVA’s GC works for him, not the President; our GC is technically a “Senior AAG.” It’s tough for UVA to fight Trump with two hands tied behind our back. (Something to consider this Nov. if you vote in VA.)

I kinda figured this was the case. UVa has a board of visitors that makes most policy decisions, and they're appointed by the governor. The VA governor is Youngkin, who has his head up Trump's ass.

Jim Ryan may believe that resigning as president of UVA will protect the University's funding but that is delusional. Columbia University's acquiescence to fascism taught us that capitulating still results in the same consequences and emboldens them to demand more.
