I agree. I do find an awful lot of waffle & repetition in government white papers. Still one can but hope that if a few people make the same sorts of observations they might think about it.

Stop giving them ideas

No he used it as an example. The focus of this article is the need for evidence based approach.

I am not saying you have to respect all other opinions, but show that you have heard and if there is a grain of truth acknowledge it.

No I disagree. He needed to make that point. It shows that he has listened to the other side. How else to persuade people to your point of view if you don't acknowledge their opinion?

Well at least we know one person he won't blame.

I Don know if petitions make any difference. I hope not, as one asking to cancel net zero targets is doing well. There needs to be more urgency around these issues so here is one to sign. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

How quaint. The problem is the vast majority of people prefer their global lifestyle. I have tried hard to persuade individuals to change, bit with no luck. I hope you can succeed.

The fundamental problem is too many people. You have to cut down trees to grow crops and make room for houses, cars, solar panels, wind farms, data centres etc etc.

Surely not all men in Afghanistan believe this rubbish.
