I encountered a gorgeous book store/speakeasy in Belton, TX, that was open until midnight. The front door was a painting in a hallway.

I think Irving is Woe, mostly because 1) he's the oldest, and I think Woe is the old woman in the painting (could be wrong) and 2) the events of episode 4 ("Woe's Hollow") culminated in Irving's termination. I think Mark is Dread. Frolic seems on brand for Dylan and Malice for Helly/ena.

No one prepared me better for the rise of totalitarianism due to a misinformation epidemic and otherwise reasonable people being unable to recognize an obvious villain for who he is better than the Baudelaires.

Also! Holly Gennero McClain is the coolest cucumber in cinema. Stares a terrorist in the face and says "I need a sofa for my pregnant secretary" while looking straight up bored with Alan Rickman's antics.

I'm firmly in the "Die Hard is a Christmas Movie" camp, but I also love that the movie is about a man learning not to be threatened by his wife's success.
