I define healthy masculinity as loving AND strong. Protective AND nurturing. Like a courageous firefighter entering a fire, then emerging gently cradling a baby or a child. Lovingly. So, yes to making meaningful connections - healthy relationships rooted in love and mutual respect are the best!

You’re welcome - it can be overwhelming getting started, at a time when we’re, well, pretty overwhelmed already. If you want to message me and share what’s going on, even a little (zero pressure tho’) I might be able to give you more personalized info that’s helpful. Either way, I wish you well.

Thank you Laura - and on that note I think it must be time for a dancing break for me!!!

It’s seems SO important that we protect our peace now - and then offer that out into the world doesn’t it Laura!!! - with whatever it is that we can each do that’s loving, kind or helpful in some way (rather than spreading fear/division/hatred).

Oh, I appreciate you sharing this - it’s a free of charge friend link, and if it helps just one person on Bluesky then I’ve definitely paid forwards the help I’ve received. Thank you Julie - I wish huge peace of mind for you through this time!!!

Thank you Julie, I had no idea where to start looking for help when I first needed it, and so a few years on I chose to train in Mental Health First Aid as a way to pay forwards help I received. It’s benefited me, my family and quite a few other people now. It IS hard to know how to access help.

You’re welcome. I had NO idea who to see/what help was out there years ago, when I first started to recognise I wanted some kind of assistance. The info I’ve given you is a lot, but we all get to take the time we need to find the help we want. I meant it about questions, even if it’s in a week/month

Here’s another: thehubpublication.com/calming-worr... Those should be free of charge for you to look at, if you choose to. Most of all, good luck @eephusblue.com, it takes courage and it’s well worth it in my experience.

… you’re facing and more. www.psychologytoday.com/country-sele... I’ve gone into far more detail on posts on Medium - I’ll link below (though zero pressure to read them). If you have questions you think I can help with you’re welcome to ask here. It’s life-enhancing when we find the right help.

… Counsellors / Social Workers (some may be covered by health insurance or offer sliding scale fees. Plus, some counselling practices offer Student / Intern sessions that are free or low fee). Depending on your location ‘Psychology Today’ can be helpful to search on - by country, issues…

Hi, I’m Mental Health First Aid trained - and have received support myself. There are a few options, such as (1) Local Mental Health Charities (2) Phone and Text Helplines (3) Walk-In Clinics (4) Workplace, University or College psychological support systems and (5) Psychologists/Psychotherapists…

Many of my photos are flowers, for this I chose Holly, with its protective edges - to represent how important boundaries are that protect our time, energy and mental health. To keep us focused on what we can each say and do that’s helpful #healthy #boundaries #knowyourlimits #choosewisely #nature

Someone wise once shared with me ~20% of what occurs is chaos, the rest divinely ordered. That thought kinda helps me #calmingthoughts #life’n’shit #deepthinking

I love how you’ve said this Lawrie! Like you I believe we each have a choice to make, unite with loving connections and make things better for all (or divide and hate). #whatyousaid #choosekindness #ilovehashtags #hoursoffun #wellminutes #letslightenup #findjoy #itsresistance #thenmakeadifference 💜

It seems fossil fuel companies like us to think we’re doomed! There’s a fine line, because yes I believe the science (plus I’ve experienced climate change-related severe weather events). It’s logical to me tho’ we don’t give up, and we live in greater harmony with the home we share #climate #resist

www.pluggedinpodcast.ca full disclosure my preferred learning style is reading (rather than podcast listening!), however I’ve heard good things about this - features diverse perspectives from a variety of people 💚

Love this message to untether from what’s harmful. And congrats to you on your sobriety-anniversary (sober-versary???). It’s an achievement hard fought for I’m sure 🙌💜

I agree - a morning dance (or anytime dance!) sets up the day, or what comes next, brilliantly! 💃🏻 🎶

… other online platform I’ve been on. It just aligns most closely - by far! - with why I write, when I do choose to share my words publicly online. This might help you understand it more if you’ve never heard of it? medium.com/@ev/9e53ca40...

…writer and enter into discussions. Plus it’s somewhere I share notes and poems I’ve written. There’s a fee; and it’s possible to be paid for your writing - most of all I like the stated aim of creating a better internet. It is calm there, most folks are kind of - it’s honestly different to any

Well, I have many about it! And hadn’t heard of it until a year or two ago! It was designed initially for folks to share words longer than many other platforms allow. They don’t allow ads, it’s well-moderated to keep hate speech off and as a keen reader I love it. I can read - ask questions of the

You went with daft, too - that’s great!!! 😁😁😁

The FEELING behind them - I love that! Nuance can be lost in communication at times, especially written, when facial expression or tone of voice can’t be included. And then increasing understanding across boundaries of different languages - yes!!!

Ah, cool! I streamlined SM I’m on lately - so won’t see words you share elsewhere. I left Meta’s Threads and IG especially, because of info I read about their approach to data/allowing speech I disagree with. Medium and Bluesky are where I favour currently. Glad to have found your insights here!

… I've just noticed your slight name change - to now include Lawrie - can’t believe I missed it!

GREAT question 80sBoy! Mmm, for the world and beyond to be united lovingly - a healthy experience where all thrive joyfully. Well, that’s today’s answer. Tomorrow’s might be less esoteric and dafter!! How about your wish I’m wondering - if you’re up for sharing???
comment in response to post
I love that you do these and have shared your actions with me - it gives me huge hope when I know others also care AND are doing something about living in harmony with nature. Thank you! 💚

Oh honestly - you really are welcome - I LOVE the messages I’ve read of yours so far 😁

You’re really welcome Luminance and Love! 💖 I went looking for uplifting people on here when I first arrived, and then as I’ve settled in realised I can make a list. I think we can also make starter packs, however I haven’t figured out how to do that (yet!).

You’re so welcome - I’m determined, with some of what’s occurring in the world, to prevent my mood dipping (as much as is humanly possible). And I know what I feed myself ‘mentally’ affects me - so I’m glad I found your notes on here! Thank you again, because I agree, we need to #spreadkindess !!! 💜

I tend to hop on and off being online, and like here and Medium best when I am - there’s some great people there. Online and in real life I like to find people who help uplift me consistently! Like you! Those who are deep thinkers. Or who help me see different perspectives. So you’re v welcome Roz!
comment in response to post
Oh you’re SO welcome ! You’re right, we’re each different individuals, yet in a collective of people - and so much seems set to try and divide us. Yet when people unite with kindness it’s truly world changing in my experience. People who’ve ‘been there/been through it’ often choose kindness! 💜

Yes!!! Love this! Who and what we take for granted is often what we’d miss MOST. Ourselves and our health included 💜

Actual therapy, nature, plus dancing and writing - anything that lights me up really - when my face lights up with a smile, or I feel my body relaxing during or after then that’s my therapy. Whatever’s boosting my wellbeing - and thank you for asking this question, it’s helped clarify something!
