As such, workers still suffered, customers still saw bots replace their neighbors in trying to help them solve problems quickly, and companies still poured money into elected officials who opposed the core principles of, you guessed it, DE&I (and ESG).

I can’t think of a single part of DE&I that went FAR ENOUGH. DE&I’s singular shortcoming was that it ended up being moderated and restrained by the very people who benefited the most from the systems DE&I was meant to disrupt.

Our U.S. Senators should also be made aware of how healthcare systems are allowing unilateral executive actions to supersede non-discrimination protections put in place by a democratically elected state legislature and governor.

If institutions like @corewellhealth.bsky.social have cancelled your kiddos GAC appointments or denied them care, as we’ve seen reported directly and indirectly, please seek legal counsel if you are able.

Democrats and private institutions are being stress tested by Trump and his shadow regime. Reproductive health care is next. HIV care is next. Anything else that doesn’t pass an extremist purity test is on the chopping block. Winning the war now will be easier than winning it later. Fight back!

The stories I’ve heard from families this week are appalling. Their capitulation to unilateral executive action against federally legal, AMA-approved health care is shameful and dangerous. Anyone who thinks this ends with trans and gnc young people are making a gross miscalculation.

And you think the value of youth sports is learning about perseverance, dedication, self-assurance, and teamwork, then you should want MORE young people participating in them and less invasive barriers to that participation.
You should also be a HARD NO on this hateful, divisive legislation.

So look. I’m not saying Republicans are entirely incompetent. They do appear to be very adept at fear mongering, scapegoating, and dividing America.
But if you are a politician on either side of the aisle, and you ACTUALLY value individual freedoms, fairness, and equality.

That the same Republican party that accidentally defined all Americans as female in their anti-trans executive order thinks they know what a woman is.

It’s also a great time to remember that the same Republican party that’s harassing cisgender women in bathrooms thinks they know what a woman is.

If it’s the assembly line fascism I think it is and that we’ve seen in anti-woman states across the south, expect they’ll try to do more gender-gestapo nonsense like expose everyone’s teenage daughters to genital inspections. All because two trans girls want to play soccer with their friends.

So I’ll wait for Tuesday and be pleasantly surprised if the bill drop is actually a bill to keep women and girls safe by you know, protecting health care, paid sick leave, abortion access, teaching consent in sex ed, addressing inflation, or investing more money in women’s athletics, but yeahhh.

As such, they never end at sports. Once republicans get a sports ban, they come for bathroom access. Once they get bathrooms, they come for health care. Once they get health care, they come for books. Once they get books, they come for art. And once they get the T, they’ll come for the LGB.

It is a GREAT time to remember that blanket bans on trans participation in sports are a gateway into tolerating the erasure of trans people from society. As the brilliant @erininthemorning.com puts it, these attacks have never been about sports.
