Not an expert but I was just thinking this yesterday with the FBI layoffs, people working counterterrorism. The kind of jobs that don't seem important when you're a fucking moron like Trump.
I fully expect more terrorist attacks in the US in the next 1-2 years.

(1/2) I read a great book, The Frackers by Gregory Zuckerman, that educated me on the topic a little bit. I recommend it!

(1/2) I think that Canada is providing crude oil to the USA. That's why we import from Canada, we are producing LNG but we don't use it to heat our homes like EU does. Gas/Energy comes in different forms and has different markets.

There are some national security issues with relying upon huge corporate farms - every government knows that hungry people are volatile, so securing in-country food supplies are important. Would a smart government want to put that power in a few pairs of hands?

I will bite on this. Yes, it's possible that huge corporate farms would get us lower grocery prices. I think family farms generally care, but they don't have the ability to scale to be as efficient as they could be, like a corporate farm can do.

I just said on here the other day. I agree with Liz Cheney on virtually nothing politically. But I do believe she stands behind our democratic system. I think Mike Pence does too. And right now, this makes them my friends. This is bigger than our other disagreements.
