It's not just fdr. One of the things the epa did not long after it was formed was document the nation's pollution via photography. That can seem frivolous, but generations of Americans have no idea why the EPA was necessary. This broke a million views when we published it in 2017

This is also why I don’t think journalists should allow people to use “woke” without forcing them to provide a specific explanation of what is meant. Too much focus on racial justice? Too much focus on LGBTQ tolerance? Make them say it. Because to be blaming marginalized folks for what’s happening…

seems to me maybe only caring about the threat of fascism in july-nov of even numbered years isn’t really enough to be a credible messenger on the subject nor to actually prevent the fascists from gaining power. we will never know though since dems have never tried it

impossible to know, because not once in the last 10 years have dem _actions_ in regards to trump matched their words. maybe it wouldn’t have made a difference, who knows, but please do not try to sell us on “dems took trump deadly seriously,” none of us were in comas that past decade

downplays the extent that Nazis gain power because *they target groups that are widely despised.* so the danger is not just indifference; the danger is that you may see the fascists as a chance to crush groups you don't like.
