Walking Session 126 • 51 // Gotta love technology 🙄 I paused my tracker app mid-walk around the second mile without realizing. Only noticed after another two miles. To keep my recorded average up, I went another two laps, ending with 9.5 miles for the day. 🤦🏻‍♂️ At least it was a nice day out!

Walking Session 125 • 50 // Could I be happy with something else? I need something to fill my time. 50th session this year! Covered 7.25 miles, finishing with a jog. Unfortunately, my lungs struggled as I gasped for air. I need better lung capacity if I want to take up jogging. Any tips?

Walking Session 124 • 49 // It was pretty gray and chilly this morning, but by the end of my walk, the sun was out and it was in the 50s. Solid outing too. 7+ miles and a rather quick pace (3.9mph). I think I'm in need of a new mental distraction though. Music and NPR are getting monotonous.

Walking Session 123 • 48 // And when I'm in my home. I need the strength to be alone. I expected rain today, but it was forecasted for later. So, I went out and completed about 7-miles. My pace and distance have improved, but the laps are less enjoyable than they used to be. womp womp.

Walking Session 122 • 47 // You and me, we're made in heaven (have a disease) Yesterday was great, but today was even better! Enjoyed a 50-60s temps while sporting a light fleece and knit hat. Sun boy was out the whole time. Listened to Bad Religion and Mad Season while knocking out 7 miles!

Walking Session 121 • 46 // Against the grain. That's where I'll stay. Swimming upstream. I maintain against the grain. Gorgeous day for a walk, sunny and warmish (50s). Felt strong too. Knocked out 7+ miles today while listening to the hymns of my people; Bad Religion songs.

Walking Session 120 • 45 // America, I love you, but you're freaking me out Cloudy, but still plenty of sun today and the temps tickled the low 50s. So, all in all, a good day for a walk. Which I guess is why I saw 2 other neighbors making laps (i.e., crowding my streets!). No pain and a good pace!

Walking Session 119 • 44 // Regrets Regrets Another meh day for a walk. Grey and sunless. If it weren't so blah out, I might have gone for another lap. This truncated route is proving to be good for my pace… sub 16 min average! Max pace in the 14 minute mark. No pain either!

Walking Session 118 • 43 // After a week of leg pain that made walking difficult, I managed a full session today. I used a calf compression sleeve and wore new shoes. Although the weather was mediocre, I covered almost 6.5 miles at a solid pace without pain. I'm back baby!

“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

Walking Session 117 • 42 // On a rope. On a rope. I'm hanging on a rope. Cold and cloudy today. Come on Spring already! The backs of both of my knees were super tight. My right one especially, needing ibuprofen to dampen it. But, while it slowed me down, I still got my laps in. 6+ miles.

Walking Session 116 • 41 // Yesterday's walk was much warmer than the past few outings, but the sun was struggling through the cloud coverage. I'm getting bad about posting my sessions. I apologize for that. Another 6 miles around the neighborhood. Forced break today because of rain.

Walking Session 115 • 40 // Monday was pretty nice, but cold. Mid 30s for the day. No wind, thankfully and the sun was out which is always a treat. 6 miles, nothing crazy.

Walking Session 114 • 39 // Another beautiful day. Temperatures were mild. Sun was shining. It did get pretty gusty during the second half of the session. Still, a solid 6+ miles. My back is feeling a bit tight after that walk though. Think I might have slept weird. Gotta love getting old.

Walking Session 113 • 38 // Yesterday’s walk. Didn’t post because of the boycott. 8+ miles. Beautiful weather. Just felt really good going round and round. Had to get another lap in.

The current administration does not speak for this American. Embarrassment is just one of the many feelings I'm having right now. Hoping this disgraceful display will spur others that have sided with him before to stand back and call him out. This can not go unresponded to by Congress.

Zelenskyy knew it was going to be a rough meeting with TFG. But I don’t think he was expecting to be bullied, berated and disrespected to his face. It’s almost as if Trump expected Zelenskyy to grovel on all fours, and kiss his ring while giving over $500B in Ukraine mineral rights.

Foregoing Meta, Google, Amazon, and everything else in hopes of affect change through abstinence. A kick in their wallets. Where it might seem like a ripple. That ripple could become a wave. In our capitalistic society; not spending money is a hunger strike.

Walking Session 112 • 37 // What a gorgeous day! Went out for my walk around 10am, it was already 50º out. Sunny with a slight breeze. I felt pumped and did my best to get my miles in. The nice weather brought some randos out as well. Passed two women I never saw before. It felt crowded out there.

Walking Session 111 • 36 // Decided to head out an hour earlier today. Temps were already in the mid-40s, and the sun was fighting to pierce the clouds (though it never made it through). No wind. No chill. Still feeling under-powered, but pushed myself to do almost 7 miles. A good, quiet outing.

Walking Session 110 • 35 // Stunning day for a walk! The sun was shining, and the temps tickled into the fifties. Yet, I felt sluggish and couldn't get into a solid pace. A strange lady ahead of me, who I've never seen before, added undue awareness to my outing too. Not my best time. 6 miles still!

Walking Session 109 • 34 // I flow like the blood on a murder scene Warm day hitting into the 40s by the end of the walk. Sun was out in full effect too! Felt juiced up and raring to go. Better pace numbers than the previous cold day. Nice and sweaty now. HA! 6 miles on the books.

Walking Session 108 • 33 // Warmer than the previous day, but the windchill still cut deep. Thankful for my fleece gaiter to keep my face somewhat warm. Solid outing regardless of the chill factor. 6 miles.

Walking Session 107 • 32 // Whatever you do. Don't tell anyone. Another chilly day for a walk, albeit 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. Not warm enough to don my grass skirt however. Powered around the neighborhood at a solid clip. 6+ miles and feeling pretty solid. Can't wait for warmer days.

Walking Session 106 • 31 // It was a cold one today. Windchill brought it down to low teens. I almost gave up after the first lap. But pushed through it. Actually did pretty well considering that damned weather.

Walking Session 105 • 30 // Got out early before the snows came. 6 miles. Kept my momentum up for the duration.

Walking Session 104 • 29 // Shit gets crazy, scary, spooky, hilarious After a 2 hour commute home this morning, I still arrived with plenty of time to get my walk in. So, suited up and headed out. Blasting Kendrick Lamar (coming off that Superbowl high) for the duration. 6+ miles in the can.

Walking Session 103 • 28 // Gray day this morning, but overall not too bad. I was able to knead the knot out of my back yesterday evening, so today was an easier session. Kept my pace up (averaging below 16 min/mile). Traveling and then snow might keep me from walking until next Thurs/Fri.

Walking Session 102 • 27 // Cool morning, slight breeze for my daily walk. I had a huge note in my small of my back for the entire duration of this walk. Hoped that it would have worked itself out with all my moving, but no such luck. Slightly impeded my pace, but still managed to get 6 miles.

Walking Session 101 • 26 // Chilly day (low 30s, felt colder) and gray skies. Felt motivated to do better than yesterday (my 100th session). Most of my lap's pace averages were sub-16 mins today (one was 16:04). Just felt like a solid outing. Tomorrow will be a rest day too. LF- This American Life

Walking Session 100 • 25 // ONE HUNDRED!!! In August 2024, with no specific plan, I started walking regularly. The first 2 months I struggled as my body adjusted to walking. I had cramps and blisters, but I kept pushing myself. I'm now walking nearly 6+ miles daily. I look and feel great.

Walking Session 99 • 24 // Gray morning to start my walk, which never really brightened up. Temps and weather were mild though. So, no real complaints. Trying a new fitness tracking app WorkOutDoors. Wanted to see a map of my progress (though I knew it was going to be pretty boring).

Walking Session 98 • 23 // I sing at fascists 'til my head comes off Warm but windy today. Almost all the snow has melted in the neighborhood now. The rains yesterday did a solid job of that. Felt motivated to push myself today, even had a below 16 minute lap. 6 miles down. LF - QOTSA

Walking Session 97 • 22 // I stand alone on the cliffs of the world Warm afternoon and sunny (a constant these days). 6+ miles around the neighborhood. Supposed to rain tomorrow, so a forced rest day (which I need to include more often). I was shooting for 100 sessions by Jan 31. So close.

My toxic trait is I’m obsessed with the idea that there is something wrong with me.
