This law creates a burden for women who have changed their names. Also Iowans with unreliable transportation would be unable to register to vote by mail. "Citizenship" is her Trojan horse, but the only thing she's actually "SAVE"ing is herself by preventing democracy from voting against her.

We need to make young adults and hardworking immigrants feel welcome and want to stay in Iowa. Instead they pass one of the country's worst child labor laws, allowing 14-yr-olds to work dangerous jobs 6 hours a night like it's 1882. They can't entice or keep workers, so they instead use our kids.

As an Iowa City resident and nurse leader who manages three inpatient units, I have nurses who work for me who have had to drop out of school because their grants were cut. Foreign healthcare researchers on work visas may have to leave the country since their work is contingent on their research.

Public Health officials, veterans, and federal workers, gathered at The Henry County VFW to demand answers from Miller-Meeks (a no-show). In Henry County alone, 4,000 of the 18,000 (22%) residents are on Medicaid. 2,200 (12%) are food insecure and need food banks. Both which were cut.

Miller-Meeks has a chance to stand against her state reps and DOGE overlords and ask them to kill SF 615 which could drop 180,000 Iowans from Medicaid coverage. Many Iowa hospitals, especially rural ones, rely on that funding and could be forced to shut their doors. Everybody deserves healthcare.
