So, the United States wants to repatriate aluminum production which is more than 60% of the annual 4.8 milions metric ton they consume each year. Can someone explain where they will find the 51 000 gigawatt of electricity needed? This translate to about 50 new nuclear power plants.

They will also need to build a few nuclear or other electricity power plants to feed the aluminum smelters they plan to build. In short to medium terms it's infeasible.
