I have no strong opinion on this one way or the other, but I wonder if he was so convinced he was going high in round 1 that he sort of brushed off all his interviews. Or didn’t take them as seriously as he should’ve?

I’ve been doing two-week periods a couple times a year. I don’t have anything planned for now, but when I do I’ll post it on here. ☺️

I remember that. Maybe 10 years ago. I was a querying writer at that time.

It’s never too late for them to say so. I’d be happy to say I was fooled!

Some folks have suggested this might be fake. Anything’s possible, I suppose. I can only take it at face value. But why parody something so awful and deplorable and not claim it’s a parody? If it is, they should come out and say so! If no writers were affected, that would be the best outcome.

I haven’t read them all. Some folks have suggested tit might be fake. Anything’s possible, I suppose. I can only take it at face value. It doesn’t say anywhere on the account that it’s a parody. Why parody something so awful and deplorable and not claim it’s a parody?

Yes. I agree. And even the ideas that might seem silly to some should not be mocked or dismissed. There’s a reader for every story. Scalzi just wrote a book about the moon turning to cheese, for goodness’ sake.

That one does look fake, you’re right. But most of the others look very real. But anything’s possible, I suppose. I can only take it at face value. It doesn’t say anywhere on the account that it’s a parody. Why parody something so awful and deplorable and not claim it’s a parody?

For the sake of the querying writers affected, we can only hope it’s all made up. But who knows?

Not every story is going to be for all readers, but there’s definitely a reader for every story. And that makes each one worth sharing, imo!

Ooh, this explains why I see so many mutuals who follow them.

I wonder if they started the account with a different handle/theme then changed it at some point. Because a few people I know are following them.

That’s awful. I’m sorry you had to deal with that.

It’s mostly just from selective following, lots of blocking, and x-ing out everything that comes through that I don’t like. So now what I see is maybe 90% okay.
