... idk I guess it's just concerning. Obviously it affects way more than just design - this would stretch out into every field, in different ways, and the potential of knowledge being lost in a short period of time is kind of scary.

like it's been bad enough as-is (for example as a designer in print-space, I've seen far too many modern agencies that have no idea what a pantone colour is and give me Hexcodes instead), but after all the AI articles this week about what it's doing to people's cognitive abilities ...

totally agreed; on the one hand it's nice to have scientific studies and papers to point at and be like "look!", but it's kind of terrifying that this stuff has only been around for what, 2 years? and it's already having that much of an effect 😬💀

like I was expecting a certain amount of "This is going to be eerie af because <gestures to global geopolitical/digital climate>" but to be so on point about the delegation of tasks to machines and the effect on the individual's ability to think or create on their own accord... that I wasn't.
