By the way, I sorted the first two gradients with relative ease, but the jade side of the third one was a bit more challenging for me.
Which one did you find most difficult to sort?

Haha exactly! Such an injustice to this set.

I agree, especially for wooden sets.
One exception is this set below (the bottom one). I find Borodino sets quite elegant, but I wish the rooks would feature that same elegance. But that’s probably more an issue with their design than their heft per se.

Nice! I had no idea you’re into Warhammer. I am as well! At least, I used to paint. Now I enjoy others paint.
By the way, earlier this year I got myself a Semenovskie set after seeing yours! The cartoony knights really grew on me. Such a fun set.

I was going for a French manicure for my ring finger as well, but the woman who did my nails was super eager to do a flower, so I let her do it. I’m glad, because it makes me joyful to see!

I had no idea the body of Christ comes in gluten-free form!

Haha you make it seem like it’s a big lump of dry bread. The wafer pretty much melts on your tongue. 😆

I just realized, I was 25 in 2015, which is allegedly when the brain has fully matured.
I mean, research shows that the brain keeps evolving well into our 50s and beyond. But I can’t help but note the correlation.
Maybe music was just more resonant when I was more emotional and less inhibited.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s not the music that has changed, but my relationship to music. It’s very possible that in my early 20s, I connected with music on a deeper level, allowing me to still experience music with a sense of reverence and awe. Maybe that's what I feel nostalgic for.
Thoughts?

The music clip above is just a fragment of the full 8:13-minute-long track. But at 1:55, where do you even hear such a break with such an intensifying development towards the drop anymore?
I still enjoy modern techno, but I can’t help but feel jaded and nostalgic.

The uncoated lens (technically lightly coated) is very sensitive to light, so when any light hits the lens directly, the photo gets washed out. So it was important to take photos with the light source behind you.
I think the coated version will diminish this issue, making it more flexible.

As it turns out, the lens I bought is the later version with a coated lens, which was produced from 1947 to the mid-’50s—as opposed to the uncoated one from 1934–1947. So unfortunately it’s not a ’30s lens.
But I suspect it will take very similar photos—just more consistently.

I guess ‘all’ means at least a dozen. What I’ve noticed is that many transphobes have really bizarre cognitions.
Yesterday, I talked to one who kept putting words into my mouth and then declaring me insane—for statements he pretended I said! They’re so weird.

Probably the lacquer! Or could it be the vague Poseidon theme?

Yeah I believe the king is 7.5 cm (2.95").
Below you can see my 7.5 cm Mordovian king next to a standard 9.5 cm king. So petite!
I’m pretty sure Averbakh II sets have even more slender proportions though.

Maybe I just have a good memory for things that don’t help me in my adult life, but I rather think it speaks to how good the soundtrack is!

Yeah. There is also a rarer mini version, which is about 75% smaller, but maintains the proportions of the tournament-size version.
My wife loves mini sets, so I hope to get one for her for Christmas. I only hope the price is also mini. 😆
