What should we do with #AIProto, the working group for AI stuff on AT Protocol? I've got some biggish ideas I may put up when I can finish up the docs + reference implementation wiki.atprotocol.community/en/atmospher...

So that $10B bailout for farmers. Is it a payout for political support? Yeah. Bold move for an industry that talks so much about hard work & independence! But it's also worse than that. This is a US food crisis in the making. www.usda.gov/about-usda/n... Let's talk about the payoff part first?

The #EnergyTransition is unstoppable and is going to happen much faster than people think. This is not a linear transition - it's happening at an exponential rate. The data indicates that half of all global energy will be renewable by the mid-2030s

If you're interested in physics, Sander Bais's The Power of the Invisible: The Quantessence of Reality is a fun read with artistic illustrations, pithy remarks, and historical perspective. Best enjoyed in hardback, but with a free download available too See my review👇 www.santafe.edu/news-center/...

Good article on the OpenFold work of @moalquraishi.bsky.social, who poses the interesting question: If we can predict how proteins fold without understanding how they do it, “are we even legitimately doing science anymore, or is it something different?“ magazine.hms.harvard.edu/articles/did...

Would appreciate a RT from the scientists for this one! We have 665 scientists in the spring database and I want to get us to about 1000 before we set the teachers loose on the database for January matches.
