Noise such as the aforementioned article is worse than ChatGPT output and is detrimental to anyone who wishes to learn something.
If I see one more piece of worse-than-clickbait news feed dishonesty from ZDNet, it's getting blocked. Not worth it for the rare decent piece they might still produce.

Please stop polluting our (Google) news feeds by manipulating the original date of authorship on articles. A prime culprit is Jack Wallen's articles, e.g.: www.zdnet.com/article/ive-...
See the comments to understand why that piece is not even good, and should probably be retracted. #NixOS

The RFK Jr. version of health, where health creates health and healthy people don't get sick and the thing that keeps you healthy is /living the right way/ is very seductive to a lot of people. It also places the burden of illness back on the ill, which decreases the value of human life.

My polling centre had a printed sign at the door specifying another language was available. I think the one who gave me the ballot papers was probably the one who covered that language. The hiring process does make clear room for candidates to specify if another language is known.

The first time I was tasked to clean a new office coffee machine properly, others were concerned at me having seemingly pulled it apart.
I reassured them it was as easy as Lego, only later finding out that they were concerned about me breaking it and stopping their supply. The dried milk was rank.

Could also well be a significant contributing factor to how Americans voted (or didn't vote) last year...

Face to face and phone are both much easier than dealing with how one appears on video. No need to think about whether to look straight at the lens or at the screen either.

How about "tactical" (strobe) flashlights? Are they of any use for most people?

I've never had more fun with chess since I started to build my own opening file (*much* better than Chessable) to ensure I don't keep repeating the same mistakes after every win or loss.
It almost feels too easy and is an "improvement secret" I want to share but also not share at the same time.

Without electronic bails, the third umpire would have to look for when a bail became dislodged. Nothing was dislodged until he had already caught the ball. When wicket keepers do this, they have their entire gloves in the way and it's also fine.

Thanks Dan! I didn't realise I had the wrong line (g6) in my file until seeing this post. Since October, I finally started building my own opening file, which was very timely given Chessable's impending demise. This "secret" approach is turning out to be so much more practical, easy and fun.

Has Ravi Ashwin been selected from the start for Perth, and played through every test, things might have turned out very differently.

Not an asterisk. It was a best of 5 series and India couldn't bowl us out at the Gabba, so we just made Bumrah bowl more than he should have. Same goes for Melbourne. That's what happens when you select all-rounders to back up two fast bowlers.
