This is a very concerning development: H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b, genotype D1.1 detected in dairy cattle. The D1.1 genotype may be connected to more severe disease in humans. www.aphis.usda.gov/news/program...

This is Jonas Salk (1914 - 1995) who decided not to patent his 1955 #polio #vaccine so that it would be affordable for millions of people who couldn't afford it. He lost out on an estimated $7billion. In an interview with Edward R. Murrow, Salk said: "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?"
