Yes, Deadman Wonderland can be dark and gory, but it can also be funny, it can be fanatical, it can be sci-fi, it can be romantic, it can be a million things, because, at the end of the day, it's a shonen manga. And it's amazing. 🧵, over.

Anyways, Deadman Wonderland is not just a "gore manga", that's just looking in from the outside, not seeing the full picture. Deadman Wonderland is, at the end of the day, a shonen manga. One that has been misrepresented and misinterpreted for years, mainly bc of the anime.

And last thing on Kiyomasa, he looks like a character designed by Rob Liefeld. The eye patch, I get, but why is he wearing combat boots, why is he wearing a longcoat, why is he anything. And if he's a veteran in this ish, where are his scars? He looks like Gajeel, only worse designed.

And lastly, his """Gag""" with girls (GIRLS WHO ARE UNDERAGE, MIND YOU), isn't funny? In fact, borders on creepy, and sus behavior? He's a 26 year old man, dude. At least Yamcha's behavior in the early arcs never extended to children like Chi-Chi.

NOTHING! THERE'S NO STORY! IT'S A FIGHT FOR THE SAKE OF A FIGHT! You know who does have a story with them? SHIRO! THIS IS SHIRO'S ARC!
comment in response to post
Plus, in the FINAL ARC, SHIRO'S ARC, He usurps Shiro's spot in saving Ganta from Toto, in where he has no real reason to be there, he is literally a odd duck out. Like, what story does Kiyomasa really have with Toto? What story does he have with Hagire? What story does he have with the twins?
comment in response to post
Shit, people give Ganta a lot of grief about punching Shiro (which the story never tries to justify), but no one ever talks about THIS from Kiyomasa. "CuRsE oF a MaIn ChArAcTeR! DuR-hUrR-HuR!" Look at this man's eyes. That's not PTSD. That's pure malice. And he never really apologizes for this?

They're moreso teacher and student, and they're just using each other as means to an end. Ganta uses Kiyomasa as a way to get stronger, and Kiyomasa uses Ganta as a way to be superior to someone.

Hell, he gets a dumbass face tattoo of his squad's initials, saying that he can't forget about them, but what was he doing for the majority of the story? Not looking for their killer, that's for sure. And hell, his friendship with Ganta... Isn't even really a friendship?
comment in response to post
Not only that, his backstory makes no real sense, either. So, his friends were murdered 8 years prior to the story, which traumatized him... And that's it. There's nothing about how he got into prison, or if he even bothered pursuing the killer, himself.

Kiyomasa Senji is genuinely the worst character in the entire manga, by a country mile. I can say one thing I can say I like about any of the other characters, but I can't think of a single thing that I like about him. He is, in every definition of the word, an Aura merchant.

It took years to free her from the hell humanity created, but when she was in the Darkness, Ganta reached out, and pulled her into the light. That's subtlety that not GameFAQs, nor Koichi Hatsumi could pick up on. Plus, if we wanna talk about ACTUAL worst characters in the series...

After seeing Shiro's past, the parts that he's allowed to see, anyways, Ganta finally understands Shiro, and while not forgiving her, fufills her wish of being happy, with Ganta in her life. By the end, Ganta and Shiro go back to their daily lives, but now, with each other in their lives.

It all goes back to what Yosuga said in chapter 44: "People fear Death because they don't understand it. Animals fear Humans because they don't understand them. But the one thing everyone fears is... Not understanding the person you love anymore."

And when he finally has the opportunity to end Shiro's life, something she's wished for her entire life, something he's wanted to do since the Wretched Egg killed his friends, and he chooses not to do it. Why? Because he finally UNDERSTANDS her.

Hell, THIS IS HOW CHAPTER 26 ENDS. With Ganta holding back tears after saying what he said, and making his friend cry. I'm actually glad that he isn't perfect and doesn't think these things through, because if he was, the story'd be boring.

2. That's mainly Funimation's fault for giving him a miscast English voice 3. Yeah, he does, the first time was because she didn't fully explain the situation to him (but neither are in the right), and the second is because she wanted to PROTECT HER.

People give flack to Ganta for: "Ugh! He whines all the time about his Dead friends!" "He's so annoying!" "He treats Shiro like Shit, all the time! What an asshole!" 1. It's been literally a week since he got convicted, falsely, cut him some slack
