Yup, even my best students notably struggled with engagement and productivity during lockdown. Years later we're still seeing issues with focus and classroom behaviour. A lot of teaching is about engaging socially with students, something AI can't replace.

Good luck on your cat journey from me and my two goblin children!

Keep your cat's water bowl separate from their food. Cats instinctually won't drink water next to meat as it's less hygienic. Also use clumping litter and have an anti-smell cat litter bin next to you litter box to make cleaning easier.

Disability is almost always characterised by inconsistency, with people have good and bad days. Workplaces that are understaffed cannot support people on bad days and constant low level stress in the workplace increases illness.

Jobs are also more stressful. Employee numbers have been cut since the 2008 crash because it's cheaper to overwork a few individuals than to hire enough people to keep on top of all the jobs that need doing. Higher turnover rates mean new workers constantly having to be trained by current staff.

children involved and whether there's anything to be done to support the families but by all means keep sharpening your pitchfork if you think that will somehow make a appalling situation better.

I have no interest in apologising for him. He's being dealt with by the police. What more do you want done? I live right next to the place where this happened. I've worked in both the secondary schools that serve those communities. I'm currently trying to work out if I've taught any of the 1/

It says in the article that he's been arrested and that the police are searching for evidence of what happened. It's incredibly icy in this area right now and very dark which I'm sure we're also contributing factors in both this incident and the crash that proceeded it.

If you see someone sleeping rough this weekend, contact StreetLink by phone or by downloading its app. StreetLink enables the public to connect rough sleepers with local services that can help them into emergency accommodation. If it is an emergency, dial 999.

Emporer Constantine was in power from 306-337 CE, decades before the era described as the 'dark ages' (around 410-900 CE). The sources from this era are scarce because of the decline of the Roman empire and the censequent loss of social structure. Constantine is not really known for burning scrolls.

Which part? Was the nail caught? If it's very small it'll heal like any other cut. Just hold your hand above your head to slow the bleeding down.

We have got to make detecting misinformation and finding reliable sources a key part of the curriculum. Teachers are adapting to this as quickly as they can but they need backup from the DoE.

For women especially, late diagnosis is very common, with the average woman not being diagnosed until her 30s. For me the extra help I had after diagnosis was the difference between me getting a 2:2 at university vs a distinction for my PGCE.

Anecdotally, I've not seen this in the parents of children I work with. Usually when I've spoken to parents who are concerned about their children having undiognosed adhd/autism their reasoning is sound. The symptoms -especially in girls- don't always present in stereotypical ways.

People trying to get help aren't to blame for a lack of resources and funding provided by the government, but that narrative prevails because it's more convenient for those in power than admitting the fault lies with them.

It's difficult to get diagnosed because the resources are not there. Yes, more people are coming forward for diagnosis than in the past but that's true of anything that there's a growing awareness of. Working in education, trust me, too much awareness is not the issue we have.
