One of my favorite things about the Longman is that from Samhain he is in shadow. The sun doesn't reach him and he dozes through the winter, quietly keeping guard . On the Spring equinox the sun shines on him again and he awakes again to the warming light, to see a beautiful, blossoming spring.

@paganmusic.bsky.social and his guests definitely know some wonderful places. I've said before, Druidcast and Damh's house concerts, spread across the world like a huge gentle hug, bringing us all together. It's Awen in action. /|\ ๐๐ซ

The Brigid's cross is a solar cross and is pre-christian in origin. It represents the life and energy of the sun. It features in designs across the ancient world.
Most pagans will know this.
The Christian cross does not have equal arm length or symmetry and looks totally different.

Paper straws can work really well. Any kind of fiberous plant. Wooden skewers work well as frame for a Brigid's cross cross made with green wool. I hope this helps galwaycitymuseum.ie/wp-content/u...
