We have been paying attention. We have been shouting into the void for years about what is happening. Respectfully, it seems that people like you are just now coming to this conclusion and sharing it as if we don’t understand. We need a plan to stop him, not an exercise in examining the obvious.

This is why I no longer support Dems. They are woefully complicit.

Attend. You are our congresspeople. Work with colleagues to develop a cogent plan to fight against American Fascism. Show strength. Stop dithering and stop giving in to coup enablers. It is clear that they have no interest in serving the people. Finally, Pete Buttigieg must give the Dem response.

Just saw the Bezos memo. Sleep well, sweet prince. You had a good run as a journalism outfit. The American Nazi billionaire did you all wrong.

She could have challenged the outcome of the election. Instead, she, and others top Dem leaders, have been virtually silent.

Those who are paying attention already know that anything coming from a White House press briefing is going to be filled with misinformation and outright lies. Let them replace you, and concentrate on writing truth to power. Don’t compromise journalistic integrity to be in the room.

Your doctor, or local dispensary will be able to give you the best information, but starting slow is highly recommended.

So corporations can declare bankruptcy twice in one year, but we balk at providing student debt relief. Those drowning under unfair crippling debt should also have the option to declare bankruptcy. Sad about JoAnn Fabrics though. I like their stores.

In theory. However, the people who have the power to stop this administration’s abuse of power, have no interest in doing so thus far.

Silly human. He won’t be affected. Bans are only for the rest of us.

The fact that this even has to be explained.

They don’t care about their legacies, their daughters, their sons, or anyone else for that matter. Why does everyone keep pretending that they do?

Bezos doesn’t care if WaPo fails. I believe that is the goal. Much like Musk destroying Twitter. In order to facilitate the complete death of democracy, reputable media cannot be allowed to exist. So sad to watch this happen in America.

One can make all the phone calls, write letters, peacefully protest, donate time, talent, and money, and still not have our elected officials listen to us. It feels like so many of us have simply been screaming into the void for the last decade, and no one listened or acted appropriately in govt.

I have stopped waiting for our elected Dem officials to do something substantive. They have had a decade to come up with a plan. They sat around with their hands in the air, crying, “There’s nothing we can do! It’s all up to the American people!” They, along with the GOP, have failed us all.

You take time out of your life to comment. That’s what we’re here for. If you post, people will comment; both positive and negative opinions. You are a large presence here. I enjoy following your posts. However, why complain when you get negative feedback? Ignore, delete, or respond. Your choice.

He wasn’t the one who posted. I wasn’t responding to him. I wish him all the happiness he and his family deserve. The thought that most people will never be able to make that choice came to mind, so I simply pointed out the wealth disparity that exists in this country. No disrespect intended.

Most jobs are about who you know. That is the easiest way to get your foot in the door anywhere. I get that the film industry is like most jobs; Little pay for grueling work. Do you know that there are people who work two or more jobs for their entire career? I’m just saying you are in good company.

Respectfully, agree to disagree. Research on the Boomer generation will show you how many good things we have fought for, and the positive changes we have made. We have had to fight the power all the way. Sadly, those in power who are visible, have colored an entire generation with their corruption.

Nice to have the ability to walk away. Regular people work long hard hours; some work more than one job, simultaneously, no breaks to recharge. Paycheck to paycheck. Year, after year. Happy for him, but it’s hard to have sympathy for those who really don’t know what hard work, just to survive, is.

Garland is a Republican.

Perhaps you might reframe this to say, “like so many others in his ‘party,” rather than “generation.” There are so many of his generation supporting democracy. Get to know us. We’re not all Republicans.
