If it’s whedoney, I feel it’s knowingly so, and used sparingly. Just a bit of shared language sprinkled on a story that’s actually.. toxic yuri??

I thought it was kind of adorable

Not me, but my little sister desperately wanted one of those supermarket checkout play-sets, despite definitely being “too old” for it. She was so happy when she finally got one 😌 (Might have even saved up and bought it herself, iirc)

When I was a kid, there was a small grey cat that liked to hang out with us in our backyard - we called him Ned. Then we found out our neighbours two doors down called him Ted. Finally we figured out that he belonged to our next-door neighbours on the other side, and was actually named Ed

See also: Penn & Teller’s Bullshit. Cool though to see latter-day Penn Jillette have the humility to admit a bunch of the stuff he was dead-ass wrong about

Of all its many faults, I consider the MCU’s near-pathological unhorniness among its worst. Superheroes fuck and we want to watch!

As a child I loved this type of aquarium; as an adult I’m kind of horrified, but hey 🤷‍♀️

At work we’re directed to they/them *everybody* *all the time* in correspondence - the intent to reduce biases in a male-dominated workplace. Very much missing is when to break out of that and actually use the preferred pronouns that everyone was encouraged to put in their sig blocks 🙂‍↔️

Hi brushy, I rly like your art. Your subjects so often make me feel *perceived*, sometimes in ways that are not always comfortable but always captivating ❤️

A long time ago I decided I wanted to read more books with female protagonists. I quickly realized that no, actually, I wanted to read more books with female authors.

The name is meaningless without the people who built it, simple as that.

Infuriating. Shockingly stupid decision - has made me lose all respect and interest in Vox media as a whole. I’m done.

[1992 and my cool older sister giving me a lift and blasting this on the stereo, completely blowing up my young, innocent ears 🤯]

Love it! So much storytelling in this one (makes me wonder if her shadow looking 🍎 is somehow significant 😳)

100% chance you’re doing better than me, a true sock disaster - ankle socks, hiking socks and a vast desert of nothing else in between 😭

Damn Katie, your early hype for it led me to pick it up and have been enjoying the early chapters (story-forward, no real reaction heavy gameplay). Not sure I’m ready for the heavy shit, I just wanted to move around and interact with pretty girls on the screen 😭

Been a long time since a VR game has caught my eye, but this looks really interesting! I avoid the Meta ecosystem, but just wishlisted it on Steam. 🙂

I think even more generally, successful parodies are ones that respect and celebrate the source material. They know the biggest audience will be fans of the genre, not haters.

Gaslight people that use it by explaining it’s a woke gender-neutral term like how Fireman became Firefighter. Push them to use “Warman” and we can all point and laugh.

Not sure about OG sound blasters, but this is a mod I did on purpose to fix the hanging note bug on a SB16 of mine. Getting a PLCC 44 socket on there a good place to start 🙂

It really sucks, they’ve been such a solid, no-nonsense solution for ages. Thanks to your router article though, I am now fully homelab-pilled and recently migrated all my docker stuff off my Synology NAS. (My data though is a trickier problem - can’t afford to duplicate existing storage)

Damn, this kills - and somehow avoids the self-aware goofiness that “beefy man in a dress” often evokes. It just works, plain and simple, and defies you to say otherwise.

Remembering that I played the game through to early-mid act 3 with 3 different characters but never finished the game for some reason 🙂‍↔️ (and the thought of picking it up again after so long seems insurmountable)

Def a lowercaser until that meant fighting with autocorrect on smartphones. Yeah, stupid grammar/spelling to be funny until it wasn’t a bit anymore. Also =] as my “smiley” of choice
