So. It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year. I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

How do we even know that Elon's DOGE hackers aren't using their computer skills to peel money off of everyone's Social Security accounts? WE DON'T KNOW. There is no transparency. All we know is Elon's goal was to *find* 2 trillion dollars without touching Social Security, and that's impossible.

Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.

They told us today that all HHS employees will get 30 days before they are terminated except for those people who have their probation period ending before 30 days. Those people are terminated a day before their probation ends. So my people will get one week of notice and one week of "severance."
