fool.com "how to invest" pages, good info on growth vs dividends, risk, diversification, types of shares, taxes etc . Please ignore "experts" in forums offering affiliate codes. Very few spend their own money! I use Trading212 & InvestEngine in the UK, don't forget prices can go up or down...

Likening the man to a cartoon character, a muppet, and suggesting the police enforce the Law is called violent hate speech now. They have kept their video up. If you followed me on twitter/x (800+?), do the same here, and i will follow back. It seems more civilised!

I've heard of the legal term "Liverpool Jury" that explains why everyone against police want their cases transferred, but didn't realise it had filtered down. Handy to know if you're defending someone and don't want a ban.

Sadly, it will get them nowhere. PCS is ignored by most departments. Non-members keep everything going. Strikes have no real impact, and all that happens is that a few people lose wages and have a moan. Nothing changes. They all go back to work and forget about it. I've seen it go on for years.

I definitely used Soulseek & Grokster. On AudioGalaxy, MP3s used to take 20mins each to download via my 56K connection.

I used AudioGalaxy. I still have some HDs from 1994 to around 2004, with Windows 95, 98, ME and XP. I should really run them and see exactly what my PC was connecting to and sending with a cracked Limewire Pro & Kazaa. I had loads of stuff from a site called FOSI. Probably very bad programs.

I still find it disturbing how many people used to share everything on their HD. If i found anything interesting and could identify them from documents, I used to email to help out! No wonder so many people were victims of fraud...

Bigger signs with better choice of font and colour, especially in hospitals. I remember having dilated pupils waiting for a Yag Laser session and could not read small signs or operate the coffee machine! They need to put more effort in.

I had cataracts at an earlier than usual age. Before they were fixed, and I had YAG Laser sessions 1yr later, I experienced how difficult things must be for people with more severe sight impairment. Thanks to skilled people, I'm long sighted now and only use glasses for very small print.

That's like Ruby in the morning when she's about to discuss why her food dish is empty...

Ken Dodd could have helped their accounts department. It shouts desperation, like charging people to park outside their homes. Maybe they need to stop forming private companies and using council money as if it is their own. A forensic accountant is required, and soon.

We're not allowed to say or think about anything like this in GovUK offices. It makes for a very boring workplace at times. Sense of humour is not allowed! I had a mug with Urban Dictionary moved off a desk, so that person's new cup had "I'm a t..t" underneath it, ideal for her meetings!

I've heard a slightly different one for CBT, probably what you would suffer if you crashed the motorbike. (Or called on the couple over the road on a Friday at 7.30pm)

I hope you didn't use a cashISA as they're not really for investing in or getting a good return, even though many people are happy with 4-5%. One cashISA made £1000, and a stocks & shares ISA made £3750 in the same year. You don't make anything with cashISAs!

In PBs the value will go down over time due to inflation. Keep some, but look at junior ISAs and if you can afford it, have a few parts to it for different events. It will stop the early retirement fund being spent. They will thank you for it at 30 or 40 with a substantial amount.

Best thing to do. Keep making small regular payments, and retirement will be in the 40s. Never be tempted to cash it in...

It's probably only worth £1 now. Buy her some more!!!

I found selling my older PBs and buying new ones, I won immediately on those. I know people say it couldn't happen, but definitely shows it's not as random as you think. New ones always have better odds for me as old ones don't win.

They do it as a gesture! It would be best if the parents would set up a Junior Stocks & Shares ISA, and if people want to give cash, pay it in, plus pay money in regularly for them. They will thank you when they're older. I use PBs for tax avoidance and got £1500 in 12M - better than nothing.

I asked years ago, and all people wanted to do was sell expensive courses that wouldn't have helped. A few people did give me great advice, but I sort of went in a slightly different direction!

Imagine getting stopped! "I was just checking the WiFi". Take ID and company details with you. I used to get stopped when I was doing RF surveys to find areas with no coverage for certain radio systems.
comment in response to post
I noticed that. No one I know fills them in as they make no difference. Most times, people work at identifying who put which comments so they can take action. The results were published one year before the survey closed!

That's as bad as having a workplace made so unbearable to work in - the employer suggests sending people on a resilience course. Save time and money, look at what isn't working, and fix it.

Ruby is 5, and it's taken 4years to get her back to being a cat after she was treated as a toy in her first home. She now approaches to be stroked and to play. I'm thinking of getting a kitten to keep her company as she meows if she thinks no one is in, and carries her toy cat around in her mouth!

If you speak to the #FakeHomeless, they're surprisingly honest about their motives. They're feeding a crack & heroin habit. They all use the same abuse & neglect lies for sympathy. Some are sent out by gangs to beg for money and/or deal in return for drugs. Youtube is full of real footage on this.

The same people that stayed home during lockdown? There are lots of addicts begging in Liverpool, all live at the YMCA. Speak to charity workers who look after them. Don't be scammed. I've spoken to a few outside workplaces. The tents, signs & dogs are to get money for drugs after spending benefits.

I nearly unfollowed the wrong one then!

It will be good to see how unnecessary a lot of the things I changed really were. Most of us probably did it at some stage. Side by side with a new phone, mine was quite restricted, but not really giving any protection I could see.

There is a lot of paranoia promoted, meaning people lock down loads of features on phones and make them less functional. Not everything is "spying." Apps share data in order to function. PiHole & AGH, with the quest to publish the biggest blocklist, is also not helping normal users.

In the UK, workmen seem to just want to call to have a massive dump before they get started! I don't think they have their own toilets! Carpet fitters, joiners, cable TV people, straight into the bathroom 10min after arrival. Is it some odd new thing they do. We never used to where I worked.

Ruby has a flip-top head when she yawns! Always followed by a massive stretch on the front legs then back ones and a shake. She always checks her food dish straight after.

If only I could resize or zoom in and out for text in the App on android. It's a badly needed feature.

It's funny when they think what they're listening to is "new", but we all heard it years ago..

People using phones so we can all hear the full conversation are really annoying too! I must start taking a phone jammer out again. It was excellent in restaurants and cinemas.
