Yessss!!! We have a very wealthy church down the street with a giant light display right now. I’ve never seen anyone waiting for food or supplies. The tiny church in the run down area serves food and hands out groceries a few times a week.

Ridiculous fiction. My son started the counseling process about 3 years ago and waited a year for hormones. After a total of five years, we’re going to schedule top surgery.

When I was growing up, my parents worked together on holiday meals. I lost my dad when I was 19 — my older brother always pitched in when he was home, but my younger brother wouldn’t even bring his plate to the kitchen. He became much more involved later. I’m recovering from surgery, pneumonia

Agreed. It wasn’t acceptable to be gay when I was a kid, and then it was okay as long as they kept quiet about it, and from there it was “but they can’t get married”. Progress will happen whether everyone likes it or not. My eldest son is trans and he’s brilliant and loving.
