"I can't stop eating my crunchy delicious pistachio-filling treats" sounds like a pretty good problem to have to be honest. How much is shipping to Australia? :3

Literally only just getting over my sickness now, after like 3 weeks. Vaguely considering posting again rather than just feeling meh the moment I think about any social media haha. Send thoughts and prayers.

Going back to the beginning, looking at what I was trying to do with fresh eyes, made me realise I was over-complicating it. One of the best things I ever learned from him, I'm thankful he was my first team lead, and it sounds so simple but it helps me with juniors in my teams nowadays too.

Getting lost in the weeds is a very easy thing to do as a beginner programmer. My first manager straight out of uni had this fantastic habit, which I still use today if I get too complicated. He'd (in a friendly way) say "hold on hold on hold on. Back up. What are we trying to do here?"

I swear I'm not being sarcastic when I say this as a reply: I know 10 year olds who use Linux Mint as their daily computer and they're doing fine.

I get it. And particularly for digital artists they likely have more of a need for it than me. But personally, my gaming mouse has 5 presets, my trackball mouse has 2, and for what I use each of those for they've proven more than plenty - I haven't once felt a need for more DPI customisation.

Here on the Mint train too. I generally recommend it as an "easiest" swap from Windows. So I make sure to use it as well (not just for gaming or software dev, but for everyday stuff too) so I can be aware of any major issues. But honestly haven't hit anything unless I've been doing something niche.

Genuinely not being smug here when I say that running Linux and generally not being able to auto-run the additional guff that comes with mice and keyboards has overall felt like a win instead of a loss for me.

When unstoppable force (brain hacking playlist) meets an immovable object (me wanting to just have a single day off).

I'm not usually one to tell other people their business. But might I gently suggest a different morning routine, instead?

I have a small printer/scanner from 14 years ago. Nowadays I barely use it, but when I do I just give it a good dusting off, plug it in, and it just works on both my Windows and Linux machines, then I put it away in storage once again. I'm dreading when this thing finally breaks.

Unless proven otherwise, with a fit like that, I'm just gonna assume the interview was for CEO 💅 Fingers crossed you get it!

"Aww, thanks babe 😍 I haven't been getting enough sleep for a while and I'm barely functioning right now 🤗 "

I feel that. Been researching resilience lately and it's an interesting topic for various reasons, but also for learning to develop my own. That said... It's be nice if it didn't feel like I needed to work on my resilience basically every day 🙃

(Likely about Luigi instead but the thought that Nika would suddenly exclaim this about Screech was too amusing to me to not share)

Referencing the recent Screech Echo portrait again? :3

Thanks for sharing! First time doing this whole thing on Bluesky and this seems helpful.

Alright darn now I can't stop thinking about being thunderplumped and let me tell you it's not in a way which is accurate to the word meaning...

I'd be keen to try them someday! I've heard good things about those silvers.

I've found my MX Cherry Red switches to be bliss, for myself at least. I haven't yet expanded or tried other switches (even though I should), because when I go to get a new keyboard I just instantly crave the Reds haha.

Forgive me right back, I didn't mean to imply you'd said anything wrong :3 merely that it's disappointing that misogyny has become your Amazon experience (unless I've misunderstood something myself hah).

Ahhhhh, that's, yeah... Disappointing...
