Oof, wow. Thatā€™s a choice.

I remember the comic but fell off reading it at some point before that happened. What the heck indeed

No reason to change what works

Seriously, a better nonmonogamy design is my girlfriendsā€™ couch that has cup holders along the back so I can still reach my drink when Iā€™m sitting in the middle while we watch Dropout.

I knew Warner Bros was committed to keeping people from seeing their Loony Tunes movies, but this feels excessive.

Found a 7:00 show about half an hour away and bought tickets. We got there to find a fire truck out front, the doors locked, and a buy of people standing around outside thanks to the fire alarm. Refunded our tickets, and will try again tomorrow, I guess.

There was a point in my mid-20s when I was questioning a lot about myself and probably would have believed a future me showing up with answers. I donā€™t think I would go back though. Undoing the past would change the present, and I really like where life has brought me.

Good news, there's a great essay by @emilystjams.bsky.social on that topic! www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/st...

Not dismissively, just literally hadnā€™t occurred to the cis panelists. Given the makeup of the audience it probably would have come up when the floor was opened for questions, but Iā€™m kind of glad I was there to introduce the topic sooner and give it some discussion.

It became clear that when talking about body modification they were dividing it into distinct categories of aesthetic (tattoos, piercings, etc) and medically necessary (pacemakers, prosthetics, etc). Gender-affirming modifications were an after-thought.

Just add it to the list of things 20-something Cynthia hadnā€™t figured out about herself.

Fresh out of college all I wanted was to work in film & video production. I still love that field, but I definitely get more excited about work with a definite positive impact. Maybe Iā€™ve grown. Maybe a decade plus editing in the adult industry wore me down. Maybe a bit of both.

Video editing for a non-profit. Filling in when my friendā€™s in-home aide unexpectedly needed a few weeks off. And Iā€™m applying to organizations that support the queer community.

One of those things that suddenly made sense in hindsight was the envy I felt around my wifeā€™s pregnancies. I probably should have taken some time to think about why I wanted that for myself so much (instead of dismissing those thoughts for another decade).

I completely agree. I would love to have a way to share that part of myself but I donā€™t want this account to be that.

Zoe Saldana just won an Oscar for a film about a trans woman & didnā€™t mention trans people at all during her speech.
