Open and transparent beats closed for cost, reliability and legibility. The latter two are essential for trust. And I'd argue if you're actually building infrastructure, trust is essential. This is lesson for those building AI, connected cars, communications networks, and even for governments.

And for the record, by the time I call phone support, it's the very last resort - I've already tried every other possible option, including online, because phone support is so, so bad.
