Wait, are you telling me that book banning isn't an act of confidence?

Yup. They're revamping fitness tests... AGAIN... apparently because he can't think of anything better to do

Yeah, it's hard to negotiate a trade deal when the other side has decided you're not worth negotiating with.

Ullyot is a coward. If he believed ANYTHING he just wrote, he'd have stuck around to help.

Can we also please just emphasize that with real time access to the information in that first chat, a competent adversary could trivially generate a pretty good first order approximation of WHERE TO FIND THE GODDAMN AIRCRAFT CARRIER

I'll disagree a little bit. I'm sure there's plenty of life out there, even intelligent life, even superintelligence.
There's no reason to think any of it is friendly, but the distances involved mean that *will* and *intent* have far less of a say than *wear and tear*

A couple years ago it was almost impossible to hire a qualified truck driver. I think it's about to get pretty easy.

Well first you list out the ways their ideas, good and bad, are optional or discretionary in some way, and assign some positive or negative value to each. Add em up. Then you multiply by the tax adjusted debt to equity ratio to find levered beta and run it through the wacc to get your discount rate.

Shiiiit, man, just the increases in bond yields so far massively outweigh the savings to payroll.
It's just so goddamn stupid

Rabois starts by saying tariffs are better than war for achieving foreign policy aims, pointing to tariffs on Canadian goods as successfully forcing Canada to increase efforts to halt fentanyl trafficking.
So going to war was the other option?
That asshole needs to lay off the fucking meth.

.........yes?
It's not even arguable that it's been hugely to our benefit. America is HALF of the global economy.

That's because for the last eighty years it's been an EXTREMELY stable trading environment. You know, up until recently.

I mean I don't think it's *political*, necessarily, to point out blatant market manipulation by POTUS.

Why stop with deleting $10,000,000,000,000 in market capitalization when you could also increase costs by 20% across the board?

A friend recently told me that considering the prevalence of firearms in this country, it appears what we really have is a marksmanship fundamentals problem

Hey put me in touch with those guys cuz they're gonna need Class A's pretty soon and I have a lot of dirt and asphalt to haul from place to place.
I won't be trusting them to reposition equipment though. Risk assessment skills are obviously capped if they haven't figured it out by now

They really need to start impounding those boats. Board them, arrest everyone, strip out everything useful, and use the hulk for naval artillery practice.

Oren is a snake. He let it through, once, in that interview. The goal is nothing but consolidation of power.

Why is it that none of these people want to mention that with real-time access to the information in that chat, you could pretty easily come up with a good first-order approximation of WHERE TO FIND THE FUCKING AIRCRAFT CARRIER.

Gonna sell more to those guys tomorrow. They're in a hurry because steel prices are about to get stupid and they think I might increase my pricing.
If they cut a check tomorrow, as agreed, we hold the agreed-upon price. But if they get froggy about it? Price goes up 25% on 0001 April 2.

I sold off a capital asset a couple weeks ago that was being underutilized and godDAMN am I glad we've already deposited the check.
Things are about to become... dumber than usual.
