Beer gut is too small, otherwise very realistic.

Chief Justice Roberts is too much of a coward to say that Trump violates the constitution. When this is all over, one day, we need massive reform of our justice system, so we don't have Republican and Democratic judges and justices. Term limits are necessary too.

Neil Young's has written more than a few songs about how messed up our country is. It is time for a new generation to step in.

I can't decide whether Markwayne or Ted Cruz is the worst US Senator. Incredibly stupid versus extremely selfish. If politics in this country wasn't so ugly and nasty, I think we would have better leaders, even in states like Texas and Oklahoma.

How awful. Article doesn't say that being a Democrat is actually OK, just that shooting someone for political affiliation is a bit extreme.

Those prosperity evangelicals have been around much longer than MAGA. What a waste of every Sunday morning.

The Poles were really in it from beginning to end. They too participated in the liberation of western Europe. And then they got screwed in the Yalta conference.

Maybe one day Mr Barstool will have some splaining to do if he decides to travel to Sweden.

1st amendment. Tarrio can hold his presser at home or in a country club if he wants peace and quiet.

True, but the question is whether they still care about Spanish speaking construction workers and waitresses, or trans people in the military. If we can leave 1950s nostalgia behind us, we can take care of everyone.

The absurd world we live in today. The US has greatly benefited from political stability in Europe and East Asia over the last several decades. Simply invoke UN article 51, and let Ukraine defend itself.

I don't quite see how Musk is going to walk away from this fight scot free. He is the richest man on Earth, but also the most hated. Since his company brand is badly damaged, he needs Trump more than vice versa. The Epstein threat is futile. Trump has no reputation to lose.

A German ambassador once said that these German soldiers died for freedom and democracy. This terrible loss gave the German people a new vision of their role in this world.

It is an old trick in the South: To avoid responsibility for amoral decisions you talk like a country bumpkin, and act much dumber than you really are.

They now both admit that the US is an oligarchy. Where do we go from here? The midterm elections can't come fast enough.

Outstanding and truly sad. We can never forget the sacrifice of the Silent Generation, which gave us 80 years of freedom and prosperity.

That makes two pragmatic relationships. The presence of US troops is the only certain deterrent to a North Korean attack. I wish that South Korea could also rebuild a relationship with Japan.

This tournament just isn't necessary. The calendar is full, and the players need a break to avoid injuries.

This should not be a mystery. Either this is part of a funded research activity at a Michigan lab, or it isn't. Follow the money.

The Beatles came out with Sgt Pepper in May 1967. Their Satanic Majesties Request was too obvious a response to that in December. She's a Rainbow is a fine song, but the album is not popular.

Only people that needed to know about the attack were informed. That doesn't include the US president.

You suggested without any evidence that a blunder at the BBC writers' desk was the fault of an intern, presumably a younger person. I don't want to make a big deal of it, but let's just say that it is not my style.

I will trust your observations. Here in the US, unfortunately, many more people of all generations are ignorant of foreign politics. It is part of the reason that the world has become such a volatile mess.
comment in response to post
You think young people are more ignorant of politics than middle aged people that work at BBC?

Decades ago, a coalition between the Dutch Greens and VVD would be impossible. Their positions on the environment were too far apart. Lately right-wing populists across Europe have stirred a backlash against environmental restrictions. Will this be a hurdle for a mainstream Dutch coalition?

This is why it is so important to prevent western technology sales to Russia. Without western chips, there is no replacement for the advanced Russian weaponry lost in the war with Ukraine.

Ask Musk whether he worked in the private sector in the 1990s when he was visiting the US as a foreign student. If he answer is yes, ask if he reported that when he applied for a green card.

The difference in life expectancy between rich and poor people is already enormous in our country. People in Iowa should have elected a Senator who cares. Ernst just shrugs off the premature death of Medicaid recipients.

They found out that Isaacman supported a few Democratic politicians in the past. They are not getting for competence.

A cult that wants to get rid of democracy always claims that they are under attack. But the shooter was one of their own.

It is an attempt by ICE to intimidate legislators and judges, and perhaps slowly morph into an all-purpose Gestapo.
