My local friend prefers a Dragon shell for his 5c which is secretly 2 colors (G and "Everything Else"). But yeah, it plays decently at an FNM level. Go any higher, and the clunk tears itself apart. But some people just wanna Timmy.

You're pretty much guaranteed to see it. It's "life gain+land tutor.deck". I mean, it probably drops about 10% of games to "didn't see ramp+forest on 2 mulligans", but a local here swears by it, and it does better than you'd think. Basically, skip your first three turns, then bombs for days

I hate to say it, but most scalpers are crypto bros who are upper middle class, not workaday. They're the type of folks who can drop 1000 on short notice to sit on, not "I must scalp to be solvent". I mean, they do drive up the price of the average hobbyist, but the financebros are the real problem.

it would be worse, tbh. The crypto era created a subculture of people whose game is "How much can we fuck other people for their hobbies", and more abundance equals more demand. I think in the long run, economic equality would destroy scalping, but in the short term, it would spike.
