Shocker will have the ability "Whenever a land with a basic land type would enter tapped, you may pay 2 life. If you do, untap it."

It's not a fantastic set, but both mini boosters sets punch above theirbl weight class for playable cards per pack. For maximum "I opened cards I can use" you go Commander Precon Collector Boosters, then Mini Boosters, then Horizons sets.

Oh, I'm not saying "it's a joke bro!" It's that one of the first defenses entertainers like to go for is "I was just playing my character" or "It's your fault you were offended". And it's sparkling clear that neither of those fly here

If you read the thread, you would see OP provided the requested clarification as to the situation. You're the one railing on like I'm some kind of inquisitor.

No, I am looking for actual context as to what is going on. Any gap you leave in a story is one that guilty parties will slither through in the inevitable damage control apology video. It's pretty relevant to public safety to know this wasn't a gag, it was planned and targeted abuse

We are not entitled to violate the privacy of the victim. If accusations are being made, we should know the full context for the accusations (within the scope of the behavior of the accused).

Not asking to victim blame, asking for more context on what we're dealing with. Apparently, this is a pattern, and not Oblivion acting out of character. Which affects a lot of how to deal with the situation going forward- it can't be played off as a stunt or one bad day.

Yeah, unfortunately, that's the impression I'm getting. That this is a historic pattern that escalated, not some stupid one off. :/ Makes it seem a lot more predatory, waiting for a vulnerable moment vs. just doing something in profoundly poor taste. :/

Which isn't to say this action is remotely okay, but kinda calibrating between "You need to work to fix things and apologize and never pull this shit again" and "You're completely done in this field, period".
comment in response to post
Needing some further context- are these acquaintances, strangers, or (now former) friends? Was the individual in question also drunk, or were they sober and exploiting the situation? Does Oblivion have a history of stunts like this, or is this the first time that we're aware of?

It's a simple problem: if the top deck in a format kills on turn 2 or 3, then your brews have to be equally fast, or disruptive enough to take it lategame. So in a hyper aggro meta, your options are joining the horde, hard control, or fast combo

Like, should we ban divorces because it's inconvenient that now, I have to call my student a different last name halfway through the semester? Get fucking real.

Speaking as a former teacher and DM, what you call people is a cultivatable skill. It is not some huge demand to change the pronouns or name you use for somebody, it's literally just a matter of effort. And the bathroom and sports stuff is complete nonissues.

Oh, that poor dumb bastard... Yup, establish precedent, commit some crime, use Stinky Pete as a fall guy who either resigns or gets Giuliani'd, replace him with whatever war criminal followed orders best against Americans. Rinse and repeat.

Technically, items printed to demand sell out every time ☝🏼

No, the Great Toe is a giant monster with velociraptor toe claws . He's being put back together after doing battle with one
comment in response to post
Yeah, you know what would fix this? Having the queue and limited stock for people who want their cards now, and then a print to demand for follow up. Literally double their money

If anybody asks you to condemn somebody, just say "It's up to each of us how we protest. It's my right and prerogative to be peaceful, and they feel they express it better forcefully. I wouldn't do what they do, but Americans have always had the right of protest, all the way back to the Tea Party."
comment in response to post
There are more of us than there are of them, and ICE is panicking, lest we remember that. There are 21,000 ICE agents in the US. That's not even as many folks as we have in my small town. Decent, peaceful folks outnumber these thugs by thousands to one.

I am now boycotting all Disney products, services, etc. Not just ABC, but all their holdings.

Didn't he used to be a decent guy, then something happened and he went off the deep end?

I think this is the realest comment here. It's not enough to abandon him or feed him to the lions. But it is enough that he's going to have to do some hard work rebuilding credibility.

That's the big thing. Adam has, to Tim's chagrin, more legitimacy as a tv star. So anything he does that people actually see gets some good mileage in destroying Tim's credibility and veneer of cool. Adam Conover, the pedantic TV nerd makes Tim Pool cry like a baby. Good luck on machismo after that.

I really do buy that he thought "Oh, I don't endorse it, I can get paid for an exposé" without realizing that with his personal brand as a truth teller, that any engaging with it would be seen as endorsement.

GPS is a videogame?

Hilariously, we can still push him XD Really thought the uber mode of Sephiroth would have like, Ward-Pay half your life total or something. But hey, he's cool. Just a lean threat, not Sauron wankery

My JJBA poisoned brain saw the all caps ZA and thought you were going to stop time. "Muda da branzino ZARANDEADO" Cue steam roller

I mean, the actual way to do things to get around it now is to have your students hand write things in class, which sucks on the lost class time, but college as a whole has been waaay too dependent on "e-mail me this six page essay, just like your other five professors also wanted thks week"
comment in response to post
The problem is that college created a culture of a whole bunch of droning busywork with no proof of learning. The culture in colleges for years was "just don't plagiarize, submit five pages a week of dreck. Midterm, final". So students are countering the useless assignments with useless slop.

Lawler and Langworthy are spineless little shits. I haven't seen any integrity out of either of them in their entire careers.

So, I think we now officially have to call the Joyce centered Joe/Dorothy polycule "sweatervest Mafia"

Schumer is writing him a somewhat firmly worded letter as we speak. He might even *consider* sending it to him if Trump deports thousands of New York residents extrajudicially.

To get this wealthy, you need to not care what the world thinks of you, no matter how vile and debased you act. Every billion represents hundreds or thousands of lives damaged. Bezos is so far beyond decency.

Boycott Amazon, completely. For the rest of the fucking year

I woulda swore you would have chose Oblivion over Skyrim, but I suppose that's a matter of taste (and that you probably prefered Skyrim's execution over Oblivion's ambition outstripping what they were capable of at the time)

Mad props for Rick And Morty for launching seeming that cynical, then pivoting into "no, that's not actually the healthy/grownup way to deal with the world. Find things and people to care about, because otherwise, you're just bitter, not mature." Which really upset some fans, for some reason...
