I don't know. Lots of little things. Background art is partial pic of a Dave Pendell book "Pharmako/Poeia" which i thought was a fun trilogy.

The time when Donny and Marie had their own Disco Star Wars special. And it's everything you could ask for. #MayThe4th #StarWars

I think a lot about what Carl Sagan said in one of his final interviews.

Found on Reddit. Cool pics. www.reddit.com/r/interestin...

Oftentimes i wonder why. People seem to hate that. It doesn't make sense. Who doesn't want to try to learn? Or at least, Take a journey without a known destination.

Creem Mag 1/1974, featured a century timeline of the recording industry that had culminated in quad sound. The Quad section features a bong in use-good accurate detail. The role of weed/drug-altered perception in fueling certain developments; 15 min drum solos come to mind.

Life Hack from Pickles: Pass out by any cardio machine and people will naturally assume you just finished a grueling workout without you even having to step a single foot on it. 🐱🐈🐈‍⬛ #catsofbluesky #cats #blueskycats #lifehacks

I feel like an idiot and i dont know why i didn't just know this intuitively (i guess i grew up completely uneducated) but apparently bats are called flittermouse (or flittermice). Like... now i wonder why we ever chose to call them bats at all

Kurt Vonnegut man

I posted this link 1 month ago and they were 34% complete. Now its 42%. Extrapolation (yes, but why not try?) would be 5-6 months to go and project 2025 is complete. As if its not "the year it starts" but "it will take a year". www.project2025.observer

Since "links to independent booksellers" seems to garner the most likes, i think these 2 are "what they claim to be": now amazon. They seem to just link to small booksellers directly: bookshop.org www.alibris.com I so far have only used alibis. If anyone has other links, i would appreciate them!

BREAKING: In a reversal, all NOAA Research sites will now remain online with "no interruption in service," according to the agency. NOAA had previously moved to cancel the research division's cloud services contract. Story for @bloomberg.com (free link): www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

NOAA’s office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research’s main contract for its websites was not approved for renewal, so I’m told we should expect some of them to start to go down. “Lutnick's position on every contract is ‘no’ and agency reps have roughly a minute and a half to convince him otherwise.”

Hi

If you like the old soap show parody "Soap" (early 80s?) then these I just heard of may be fun to watch (and also played during same time frame). Hint: I'm going to watch these. "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman!" (Another soap opera spoof) "Fernwood Tonight" (Spoof of late night talk shows.)

The British newspaper The Guardian is changing its style guidelines to no longer recommend the use of the phrases “climate change” and “global warning.” The Guardian will instead use “climate emergency, crisis or breakdown” instead of “climate change” thehill.com/policy/energ...

I keep re-pondering the notion that in maybe 5-10 years I wont want or need a phone (or whatever passes for it). Possibly dump the TV too. I still cannot imagine not having a PC I would use occasionally for info and "official things". Every time I imagine it there's this serene peaceful feeling.

We are seen.

I love these kinds of videos and things (video in the page in the link): www.nasa.gov/universe/nas...

Everyone but me probably knows about this aite and its app, but here it is anyway: www.goodsuniteus.com It claims to allow you to see what political parties companies in the USA donate $ to, so you can choose where to buy things, or not buy at all?

Not to lessen my previous posts, as i have been posting "like mad"... relatively.. but anyway: a nice discussion of the 2032 asteroid and *why* the probability will likely drop to 0 as we observe more. Basically: we need more data observations to properly narrow it down. bigthink.com/starts-with-...

Found this on reddit: part of a comment about "moving so fast the courts cannot stop them" "...They are at 34% complete of a 900 page book." www.project2025.observer

Odds now up to 3.1%. A 1 in 32 chance. I have seen that it has been said "then the chances drop to 0 when these types of things come back around and get close". But still: "we" (fully funded and working...nasa?) will have to prepare for 7 years as if it's not 0. www.livescience.com/space/astero...

Found a cut bud on subs tack, and the vis itself from youtube is an excerpt as well. Anyway, supposedly 1986 "Crossfire" broadcast, if you are/were a Frank Zappa fan youtu.be/fam5wRXcoQE

I like anthologies/short stories. I found a 40th anniversary "Vol 2" of something called "Gargoyle" at a used bookstore. I liked it a lot. they no longer issue books/zines BUT it appears new stories are all? free to read here: gargoylemagazine.com They seem to publish so writers can get published?
