I mean it's not like we're not doing anything she's planning on moving away from her family and apparently only the men in her family attend mosque so when she's out she won't, so she shouldn't be in danger but there isn't really a way to engage with it that isn't either insincere or disrespectful.

Yeah it's kimd of one of those things you just kind of end up not bringing up unless they do. Like my gf has said her muslim family might kill her if they find out she's trans, but she's still muslim and I kind of just... don't talk about it.

You know I've read some articles that speed cameras often don't succeed in reducing speed, but I also had an acquiantance complaining about getting a ticket from one who admitted to being drunk, high, and over double the speed limit, so sometimes they make a good point
