...I actually like that it's controllable in-game rather than buried in settings, but swapping my enchanted helmet for a plain head seems like too much.

It's a cool feature, and many will like it on my server, but it's not for me; I prefer to be left alone. I wish I could disable it in settings like chat, without sacrificing armor for privacy.

I've been playing since 2012 on Java. I can't attend in-person events, so I miss out on those capes. Social media giveaways aren't very exciting, and time-limited event capes can be stressful if I'm short on time. It would be fun if capes could be earned through in-game challenges at any time.
