This one’s on Arteta for not switching it up on 60+ mins. He really needs to learn. Slim pickings maybe, but with both the semi pending and obvious legginess in the pitch, it just looks like bad game management again.

Yea, some wild stuff out there. Disappointment and football always a virulent mix. ‘It cuts deep’ as Dunphy used to say and can bring out the worst. Good you’re here with some rational thoughts. I’m with you, we’re still alive.

I get your disappointment and frustration, but their goal wasn’t scored if he was on the pitch. Decent depth, worth holding onto imo. It’s further upfield that’s continuing to kill me and us.

Brady and Paddy in the same article…perfecto 👌🏼

This has taken you 2 days to get back, have you taken that time to fact check and listen to every Arsenal pod? Jesus Barry, give it up. The justifiably outraged fan base has been OTT at times, for sure, but this outrage at the outraged has been a whole lot worse and just continues to fuel it.

The odd take on the red card aside, this was a real laugh out loud line.

‘Tribes’ of every colour attract extremes, Arsenal are no different. Your post feels purposefully inflammatory and in reality, misinformed. More importantly, you’re missing the more general point about the quality of refereeing across the board, impacting so heavily on sporting integrity. Bad take.

Might be too late Blogs, but FFS don’t listen to Second Captains…will send you into a rage all over again. Really bad take on it all, which is a bit predictable at this stage sadly.

Good read, thanks for posting.

Not known for my optimism, but I’m still one step behind you Tim…

@tim-stillman.bsky.social Classy piece Tim. ‘…Arsenal probably aren’t going to be the ones to take advantage…’: is this line another human condition, ‘emotional protection’!? Tough ask, but not giving up on this season yet, which I’m sure you’re not either. ♥️

Great write up Andrew, enjoyed that one. 👍🏼

@gunnerblog.bsky.social With Ødegaard as our creative hub, everything goes through him, when he’s clearly in horrible form. Despite missing him previously, is it worth dropping him now or giving him less game time and having a strategic rethink temporarily? Something’s got to change. #arsecastextra

You’re right, but on the upside, may force the issue now to buy in Jan. Whether we can find a game changer for sale, harder to tell.

Think we’ve got to stop looking to refereeing to support a reasonably fair and balanced game. They’ve been useless for a long time. Need to take control of games ourselves. What’s more important is that we should be out of sight and therefore take the time wasting out of the equation.

Fair point. But has been at least half a yard pace off every game I’ve seen him play. Don’t see it getting better.

Spot on James. 2 one-touch passes was all it took. Feels mostly pedestrian and predictable. Then we take an age over a set play. Desperately need to mix that up now. Although in fairness, we should have scored from at least one of those.

Maybe too early to make a call on this given their injuries, acclimatisation etc, but looking with an analytical eye, do you think both Merino and Calafiori look worryingly a yard too slow for this team in this league?

‘When you say it's gonna happen now When exactly do you mean?’ Sorry, obvious one, but couldn’t resist. Unlike most, feeling hopeful still. We’re in it and that has to do for ‘now’!

As soon as we win the title, all this boring media narrative will change and everything we do will be seen through the lens of the usual sycophantic admiration. Can’t happen soon enough.
