Thanks for the info. That's what I thought. Not sure I like those numbers though, but maybe we would have less extreme viewpoints.

Can someone clarify this for me: with proportional representation, wouldn't Reform have a substantially larger number of MPs in parliament based on last year's election?

How will international students at Harvard find a new course at another Ivy League University in 72 hours if their admissions process has ended and course places have already been allocated? Furthermore, 2nd & 3rd year spaces are already taken, and course content will not necessarily map across.

Do you think Peter knows Tesla were selling pretty well until Musk went mental? Donut.

True, but let's not forget that these individuals often blame immigrants while avoiding responsibility for their own poor life choices. The rely on simple solutions for complex problems, remaining ignorant to other contributing factors, & probably mistrust all people of color. Unless it's sunburn.

Bye! Enjoy whatever party governs in 4 years time. You should vote Reform, they offer simple, bigoted views that you'd understand.

No it wasn't, the decision was not based on trans people being sexual predators, that's your distorted interpretation. Jeez.
comment in response to
post
Lol. You're so weird. It must be so confusing to be in your head. Are you able to see anyone else's point of view on this matter? Do you think people dying in a war is equivalent to your own internal conflicts and unhinged views?
comment in response to
post
It hasn't been an issue for trans people I know. They don't live in toilets. They make alternative arrangements. They're unhappy with the decision, and will continue to make their point calmly & succinctly. What they don't do is accuse everyone who understands both sides of the arguement as Nazis.
comment in response to
post
Nope, I never said they should out themselves. You said that. You have some odd, extreme views and interpretations. I don't think you're helping the Trans community by swearing at everyone - you come across as unhinged. By the way, I'm not a judge or barrister, so I had no say in the SC decision.
comment in response to
post
Nope. You're just projecting and making a bunch of assumptions. I'm not doing anything to any people. However, you are making false accusations in the same way right-wing bigots do. Be a better person.
comment in response to
post
Yep, I agree. It's stupid. It doesn't mean the SC didn't think other factors should be considered. I assume it wasn't just a safeguarding issue that the decision was made upon.
Anyhow, I've got to go and help with dinner. You have a good evening, Steve.

I don't, and I never said that, you're making things up. Read my post again.

Safeguarding the wishes of all citizens is complicated, that's my point. The middle ground is about winning compromises and pushing further over time. You feel passionately about your cause, and that's great. But others are arguing for something different. It doesn't make them bad people!
comment in response to
post
It's the way you and others have presented the argument in this thread - calling people Nazis, Transphobes, rt wing etc. It's not helpful.
Do you think Trans people are being denied their rights to existence, in the same way as those fleeing war? See, it's a silly argument - both can be bad!!
comment in response to
post
No one said you can't be angry. And I never said I agreed with all of Labour's policies or actions. In fact, I said the executions of their policies has been pretty poor. And why do you think i can't empathise with Trans rights? Did you read what I said about my friends children?

Does this answer your question?

I'm the child of a refugee who couldn't return to their homes because of war. They lost family members. I don't need you to tell me, or my family, what it's like to have their human rights violated. The idea that Labour supporters are now puppets of Trump or the far right is dumb. It's not helpful.
comment in response to

Steve, the language being used deliberately tries to polarise genuine views. It's not 'just' a bunch of hate groups that wanted this, there is more support than you may want to acknowledge. Whether you or I agree with them, it shouldn't be framed as a tiny minority. Nor as hateful.

Do you Unisex toilets feature in any of this?
comment in response to
post
So, not a general security guard then? Any proof of what he asking? Audio clips, video etc? Seems weird to be surveying people outside a toilet that is clearly marked as both male and female - how would stop them from entering? I'm gonna need more information. And so should you.
comment in response to

Wow. I think you're seriously unstable. You really should look after your mental health and speak to people outside your bedroom - the swearing, the abusive behaviour, the threats. Not a great look. Although, you should consider X/twitter, you'll feel right at home. Do you follow Elon Musk?
comment in response to

I don't want anyone to be shunted off to one side. I'd hope people would come together and figure out how everyone's wishes can be accommodated. You think that's not possible, I think it is. But name calling and assuming everyone is a Nazi or bigot doesn't help endear anyone to this discussion.
comment in response to

Dear lord. All Labour supporters are now fascists? I can't keep up. I suggest you vote Reform - I hear they have simple solutions for everything. Right up your street.
comment in response to

I'm going to be on a blocklist for having a discussion? Stop behaving like a triggered child. You've been super rude and passive-aggressive since you commented on my post. Labelling everyone who disagrees with your interpretation as Nazis or Transphobes. You need to work on your social skills.
comment in response to

Ah, I guess when the EC rules in a way you don't like, you'll call THEM Nazis as well. Oh, to be a 55-year-old child. Well, to be honest, I'm younger, so something to look forward to.
comment in response to

Well, this whole thread has been about politics. So yep, it's all a political game.
I haven't read the EHRC guidance, but do you know who has? That's right, the Supreme Court and the government, who clearly disagree with your interpretation.
comment in response to
post
Eh, Unisex toilets have existed for decades. Where do you shop? Most restaurants only accommodate a single room with a toilet, and it's not even labelled.
comment in response to
post
Labour has a majority in parliament... It would have agreed with the SC ruling. And regardless, as you already mentioned, the Tories would have backed it as well. And Reform. Do you have an imaginary parliament that we should know about?
comment in response to
post
Unisex toilets exist. But regardless, do you think the SC should make judgements on law, or angry people on Bluesky?
comment in response to
post
I'm sure they will provide other toilets that people can access. Do you think the SC should make our countries laws, or angry people on Twitter and Bluesky?
comment in response to
post
Addressing access to public toilets isn't the same as denying a group's existence. The SC heard all arguments and made a decision that some support, even if others disagree. Next time, the ruling may go another way. Disagreeing doesn't make anyone a Nazi, Nor do all Labour supporters hate Kier.

You're fleeing the country? Where? I hope it's not the US. Two of my best friends children are Trans, they're not leaving the UK, in fact one just moved over from the US. They're quite level headed kids, I don't think we are excluding them. Your experience may be different, doesn't make us Nazis
comment in response to

Nonsense. No one has said that. Can you show me where the Labour Party have said Trans people cannot exist in the UK?
comment in response to

Jeez, you think Labour are killing you? If only the leader of the Labour Party was some sort of Barrister or had worked as the Director of the Public Prosecution, he might be able to action something....oh wait!
Overreact much? Do you think before you type?
comment in response to

Yeah, the people who voted for Labour are Nazis. Are you a Nazi? Enjoy Reform!
comment in response to

Not everyone has to agree with the ultra left to be a Labour supporter.
Why is it when you disagrees with someone you immediately call them a Nazi? 🙄
Jeez. So sad.
You say their deliberately hurting Trans, immigrants and old people, maybe they are just trying to find a middle ground.
comment in response to

Sorry Jemma, Idon't feel like any of those voters you mentioned. Labour is in a difficult situation, it's trying to address countless issues it's inherited. I agree their policy execution has been awful, but are their ideas bad - not really. For example, The winter fuel allowance makes sense.

The deal is worth a fraction of the trade we do with the EU. It's a moot point. And guaranteed, the EU will get a better deal. Being the first to sign a trade deal isn't necessarily desirable. We've just set a min. Benchmark, everyone will want to improve upon.
