I use my library card to get audio books and other media from Hoopla or Libby. It doesn't have all of the newest stuff but I have been able to borrow many things and support the library.

I hear you. I also remember being very young and asking my grandmother why she was stashing canned goods in the crawl space and coins in the basement freezer. They saw real horror. I'm fine with austerity as long as it's self implemented and not because a billionaire is telling me it's good for me.
