I’ve been rewatching Code Lyoko, and having fun doing it. My highest praise for the show is that I think it’s one of the best shows at setting stakes. In season 1 and 2, the only thing preventing the heroes from defeating the bad guy is their desire to save one person.

I don’t necessarily think Jim Carrey was the perfect person to play Eggman, but he is someone who is willing to throw his everything into a role, and for a character like Eggman, that’s halfway to a good performance already.
