I've been in the inner North for 10 months on a one year visa. People drive through red lights, pass stopped trams, don't look both ways at intersections, and constantly seem stunned that people exist around them

Melbourne doesn't allow left turns on red and it's so much easier to cross as a pedestrian (Provided you push the button before the light changes because if you don't it stays red for you...)
