This is going to cause layoffs at institutions. I have warned my local cult representative that if they think 3 to 7 over 6 minute calls a day are bad, just wait till I have no job. They WILL have my undivided attention cause clearly they will need it.

This honestly terrifies me.
Also, how is suddenly stopping clinical trials funded with us USAID funds, not a violation of regulation 45 cfr 46? The harm component is also rooted in the Belmont Report, Declaration of Helsinki, and Nuremberg Code.

There is the definition of irony. A propaganda host of an organization that settled a lawsuit that admitted no one should believe that they are reporting actual news is telling actual workers to get a job.
Since we are returning to playground behavior, I guess, I am rubber, and you are glue?

And this is something to remind the cult because they are trying to claim otherwise in their template talking points.

Me and the ultra Maga house representative.
I am not stuck with him. He is stuck with me. His office has discovered that I will call 5 times a day, and I am calling daily for the next for years.

The two modules in both biomedical and social are consent and cultural competence as well as avoiding group harm.
Researchers can push past the warning for now to complete the module.

I am getting notified by researchers that I should stop their ethical review and that they wish to cancel the submission

I work in the Institutional Review Board. When researchers apply for funding, they apply for a grant from a sponsor as a proposal. They then apply for ethical review from our committee at my institution. Once an ethical review is done, funding is released, and work may begin. 1 of 2

Same. The staffer tried to claim a time limit so I repeatedly called back. Daily calls it is until this madness is over one way or another.

Speaking as someone who works at a university in compliance, please know that we are just as upset as it researchers. Yesterday, it was noticed that CITI has flagged two modules as under executive review, and we are tracking how many researchers need to cancel submissions due to funding.

Now I agree messages can be better. The angle is what resources are you bringing to the community. For example, bird flu . . . Cdc is being hindered from doing anything.
Please don't knock the internet speed. Reliable internet is a necessity in today's age. Covid showed that.

Speaking as someone who lives in a very rural location, we were bloody thrilled about the bipartisan bill that was bringing fiber connection. You don't realize how much is on the internet until you have to wait 8 hours for a 5 minute upload

Another option that I did successfully during round 1, call your state officials with daily phone calls. Be polite, firm, and fact check then in real time. If they claim party line, remind them of the oath they took. Don't leave a message, talk to the staffer. The daily interaction is key.

@kaine.senate.gov As one of your constituents, I would like an explanation of why you are enabling the dismantling of our government with that vote. Please explain yourself. I am very angry right now and my trust in you to do the right thing is hurting. Please start providing insight. Thank you.
