Purple discord uses Vis as the logo for a reason. Dude is just absolutely iconic, dripped to the 9s. I may not love playing against him, but Viserai is one of the heroes that got me into the game

They might not like it, but this is what peak battle station looks like šŸ˜¤šŸ˜¤

Also like not to mention the fact that thatā€™s kind of a rude thing to say

Overall pretty stoked with my return, enjoying the deck. Definitely feel like I have to dodge the big disrupters in the room though.

Bryan, if we donā€™t have some kind of eldritch horror involved in the set Iā€™m gonna be very sad

How dare you like a thing that other person doesnā€™t like. Their opinion is the only true one, clearly

Glad to see some positivity about it. Im a big fan of the books, do yearly rereads. I think theyā€™ve got the spirit of it, the actors are hitting their stride, and season 3 is shaping up to be good from what weā€™ve seen. I think theyā€™re fun watches that Iā€™ve certainly enjoyed!

Hey man they ALREADY reprinted CnC, what more could we want?! (/s)

Snow Crash is one of the best cyberpunk novels around. Which is great, because it apparently set out to be a satire of the genre. This and Neuromancer were eye-opening as a young reader. Love me some dystopian SciFi

My brother got me into it, and one of my cousins gifted me a set of his old discs. Turns out a lot of my friends play, too! Iā€™m pretty excited to get a little more active this year. And yeah, ultimately thatā€™s the conclusion I came to. I love the game, but right now just isnā€™t the time for me

If itā€™s a super complex call, I get it. Mistakes happen and weā€™re human. But repeated mistakes, several of which demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding of core principles of the game like the stack? Ehhh yeah Iā€™m a little less lenient

not tagging any of this with the fab tag because I get not everyone shares these concerns, and Iā€™d rather not inundate BryanGo or JWā€™s timeline with negativity. If theyā€™re happy with the game theyā€™re designing Iā€™m glad. If the majority of players are happy too, then thatā€™s great. Just not for me

Not to mention the erosion of class identity and homogenization of disruptive effects. As well as the rather lack in quality and verification of judging calls at events. Saw no fewer than five incorrect calls in Portland that cost games. That was deeply disappointing, as a judge.

Debate them or change anyoneā€™s mind. These are the problems I have with the game, and thatā€™s all that they are.

Card advantage and offensive overlap. Lack of forethought and testing in MST, the fact that ice (which is meant to curb aggro) showed up with the force of a fart in the wind, the fact that CyB exists and is their vision for control decks. These are all based on my experience, and Iā€™m not trying to >

Cost of entry for new players, prevalence of either aggro as the premier deck or solitaire decks like Enigma, prevalence of non-games, lack of a proper reprint policy, stated design philosophy of ā€œoverpowered with silver bulletsā€ that removes player agency, contradictory design when it comes to >

I havenā€™t either. Itā€™s just about as much fun as watching paint dry at this point. Itā€™s so far from a diverse meta itā€™s not even funny. But thatā€™s just the way it goes I guess

Ah man. Another tourney, another 6/8 MST t8. And pushed aggro vis making an appearance. Iā€™m shocked

I agree, though the that there had to be bans at all is part of the issue I take with the set. Iā€™d rather just have them release heroes in a healthy state and not absolutely take over the game for months after release. A little meta shakeup is great, but itā€™s been every t8 since MST featuring MST

MST really was one of the designed sets of all time

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Every show Iā€™ve been to has been fantastic, and I always leave wanting to go to another. They streamed their entire 2024 tour on YouTube for those interested!

It really feels like sometimes she just always has it and never doesnā€™t have it and those games are nightmares

I wasnā€™t communicating my disdain for certain decks and design choices (non-Nuu CYB, the wet fart that was iceā€™s reintroduction, the general power creep of aggro) at armory events in a polite or constructive way. It was made clear to me that I was being overly competitive and making folks feel bad

The Azalea game was wild, they popped my Kodachi with a dominated melting pointed Widowmaker when I had two Dreacts. Found ways to give needle my Ira trigger. Was a fun game to navigate, and got the concealed blade to pick my Kodachi back up the turn they popped my needle with a d react. Spooky shit
