Dinner was a success! I fell asleep before dinner, then almost fell asleep at the table, and I'm bout to go to my bed where I can suffer from the itis horizontally. It was my first time cooking black food without other black people around. Kinda miss the hubbub but there's always next year!

Juneteenth dinner half made: black eyed peas went into the crock pot this morning. They're perfect. Mac and cheese just went into the oven. Looks perfect. Collards on the stove. Probably will turn out perfect. Cornbread goes in when mac comes out. Will absolutely be perfect. Husband making chicken.
