I do think the videos capture a specific thing people are looking for. Also, I don’t think connecting ideas to previously learnt content is a bad thing. What is problematic is when we don’t use our professional expertise to make the right judgments for our students.

A model, in the early stages of teaching, can be helpful. However, we all know that the literacy hour and the like stifled creativity of both staff and students and that this, in turn, had a negative impact on student progress.
