Skin Deep releases next week...! ➡️Wishlist at store.steampowered.com/app/301280/S...

You've got two choices in REBOP BLASTERS. You either blast your opponent off screen or get blasted off screen. We laughed a ton playing this, so this is your last reminder of our Side by Side video on the game: www.youtube.com/watc...

REBOP BLASTERS is "Nidhogg for Ape Out fans" according to my good friend @geggis.bsky.social and, although it feels rough around the edges, this is some top stupid fun if you like blowing your friends away with giganto-laser beams. Here's our video on the game: www.youtube.com/watc...

Steam's box-pushing fest starts today! Sadly Valve does not think A Little Perspective is enough of a sokoban to participate. Oh well. Will drop the demo another day! #indiegames #puzzle

"The game where the guy animated fire for 30 months?"

This fantastic puzzler was one of my favourite games last year. If you want something thinky and open, with nice breezy vibes and lots of cleverly hinted secrets I can't recommend Isles of Sea and Sky enough.

Blue Prince.

We had to pay Mirror Group Newspapers for the rights to this error. We were using it to transform it into something else. And we paid. To licence gibberish. Because it belonged to someone. That’s more than the biggest corporations in the world did to any author whose work they stole to build LLMs.

Last chance to see (or get reminded anyway) - our short look at FURIOUS FARM: TOTAL REAP-OUT in which you reap crop for points... or perhaps steal it from another. Whatever floats your combine harvester. We look at FURIOUS FARM: TOTAL REAP-OUT: www.youtube.com/watc...

It's Side by Side episode 8 of 12 and we're looking at @punkcake.club's FURIOUS FARM: TOTAL REAP-OUT which is a battle between brightly-coloured combine harvesters for the most wheat. Ostensibly a battle against bot harvesters, how does the versus mode feel for two? www.youtube.com/watc...

One thing I tell parents who don't understand, or are afraid of, their kids playing video games: they can help your children (and you) in unexpected ways. Play them with your child. Experience what they experience. www.crossplay.news/p/video-game...

I've described it as The Ship: Murder Party meets Bernband and they're two of my favourites. Loved the DoubleWe demo, especially with a friend watching. 'It was there!' 'Where?!' 'Behin--' 'AAARGH!' Thanks to @ricklane.bsky.social for recommending it via his Demo Disc newsletters!

"I don't know why I come here, Gregg. Why do I come here?" "The beautiful pixel art." "Oh I come here for the pixel art? I can get that at home!" -- me dealing with a losing streak in QUEST OF GRAAL DX, the local multiplayer game featured on Side by Side this week. Watch: www.youtube.com/watc...

I LOVE my daughter's new 'Garden Gang' collection. Bright, colourful, and uplifting... just like the birds themselves. These paintings, and others, are available from Charlotte's @cstrawbridgeart.bsky.social website, here: www.charlottestrawbridge.co.uk/art?utm_camp... #birds #birdart 🌿🪶

Crashbook is back with another 19 games I haven't played. Find them all here: www.electrondance.co... Screenshots show: A Little Perspective, ASYLUM, BURGGEIST, CARIMARA.

If you wanted to catch up with my NIDUS stream where I took it on with just two hands in single-player - you can now watch it on YouTube. Such a good looking and great sounding game. Redefines the word "hardcore", though, bro. Watch it here: www.youtube.com/watc...

Same here! Quest of Graal DX reminded me of the 16-bit Mario games (complete with chucking blocks, transformations and bum sliding down slopes) but with the multiplayer racing chaos of Speedrunners. The pixel art, bouncy menus and effects were a real treat. Big-up for the co-op tutorial as well!

This video is absolutely fantastic, breaks down every single nonsense argument on GenAi made by GenAi advocates, and does so in such a succinct way! Plus its always a joy to watch people work on their craft! Watch asap because it’s spot on! youtu.be/1L3DaREo1sQ?...

Side by Side is back again tomorrow. This time @geggis.bsky.social and moi are running for the cup in QUEST OF GRAAL DX

From 15 years ago, the first painting I posted online. Certainly the first thing on my blog (remember them?)

Reminded me how peerless the character/vehicle designs were in this. And the names! The Gruesome Twosome in the Creepy Coupe, Rufus Ruffcut and Sawtooth in the Buzzwagon, Peter Perfect in the Turbo Terrific etc & etc ❤️

Adolescence but about when your parent in his 60s has an iPad now

It's here! My favourite game we've made so far this year! 😤 It's a traditional roguelike but runs last 20 to 30 minutes and the randomized skilltree means you get very unique situations every time! Plus there's a funny storyline. Help Jess get some friends!! 🔥

Possibly the greatest local news story Im going to see this year, and it’s only March

Rollerdrome is an all-time favourite for me and is done great justice here by Raycevick. I couldn't get over how perfectly tuned it all felt, and how consistently good it looks and sounds. Demanding but so satisfying. Lovely to see the impeccably crisp art of rally being mentioned alongside it too.

This week's local multiplayer title is the free kart racer with PS1-style graphics - NIGHTMARE KART! @geggis.bsky.social and I didn't quite warm to this but it looks awesome and was crafted with love and attention to detail. Watch here: www.youtube.com/watc...

The end of Predator but with the Donkey Kong Country theme.

The Dark Mod is incredible.

💥New from our EU @taxobservatory.bsky.social today: A first quantification of how a minimum tax on super-wealthy Europeans could contribute to a safer and more resilient Europe 🧵 www.taxobservatory.eu//www-site/up...

you already know what's up (steam sale rec thread is what's up) as always, i focus primarily on older, obscure, and just plain weirder games, as big name titles don't need the help. so, onwards!

BTW, what's YOUR favorite unique PC game experience not available on Steam? Stuff like Basilisk 2000, MyHouse.WAD, Friday Night Funkin, fangames like Star Fox: Event Horizon, free games like Shards of God, touching Bitsy stories, unusual projects like the Museum of Mechanics: Lockpicking, etc...

Oh no. (Oh yesss)

Come for the gorgeous kaleidoscopic bioluminescent visuals, stay for the symbiotic co-op chaos and survival. Nidus is something else.
