Mmmm ... Indeed! I picked up two more on my way to the airport to bring home to Ottawa. Excellent recommendation.

I am pretty disappointed that Halifax Transit doesn't have transit cards for my collection:( But I am pretty amused by the old school paper transfers.

You can view the report I submitted with the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies (CAEFS) as part of the Neha Review Panel's call for written submissions here:

These dialogues will be included in the public record of the NEHA Review Panel on the right to housing for women, Two Spirit, trans, and gender-diverse people, and the government’s duty to uphold this right.

I have been working alongside CAEFS, EFry Societies, and @wnhhn.bsky.social since 2021 to ensure that the voices of criminalized and incarcerated women and gender-diverse people are included in #Right2Housing advocacy and action in Canada.

Some great suggestions already in the thread. I always love checking out cycling and transit when visiting new places. Street art and public spaces. But really a good long meandering walk is my go to travel pass time. Comfort food and cheap eats. Love a good hole in the wall. Thanks!

You had me at ice cream suggestions! Thanks, these are helpful to get situated. It's a last minute trip so haven't had a chance to do my homework.

Ha. I was just thinking about that clock. I mean I was on the Hill which is where you're most likely to see the RBC clock and there's like a giant clock tower behind you, but still...

I love that my non-profit landlords hire window washers every year. Never had any other landlord care about clean windows.

Packing up. Not enough time for any last adventures before heading to the airport. Good conference. Good visits. Good wanders. Bye, Victoria.

Last day in Victoria. Ventured out beyond downtown and campus for some coastlines and gardens.

Been conferencing hard the last few days. Finally squeezed in a quick stroll around campus because... brutalism.

As always, keeping an eye out for some good modern architecture. "Ooh, is that a Centennial Fountain?"

Also, #NCCBikeDays need to go back to being 8am-4pm. The MUP along KZM was an overcrowded mess. There is demand. Give us space to enjoy the river.
