I'm glad that this story has been picked up by national and international outlets. One local outlet, D Magazine, has also highlighted the report. The rest of the mainstream news outlets in Dallas have not. Perhaps I'm being impatient but I must admit I'm confused as to why they've yet to pick it up.

Pretty sure Apartheid Clyde is using young men to do his illegal DOGE work because they're too young to know he's setting them up to go to jail instead of him when this all blows up in his face.

Worst. Episode. EVER.

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

As an old skool Bond fan (I watched them with my dad when I was a kid), I feel like Bond was conceptually finished anyway. How could any new Bond villain outdo Apartheid Clyde and DOGE? Musk is an 80s Bond villain in the flesh minus all the cool.

’Tis the season for a biscuit set inspired by Victorian scrapbooking. 🍪 These festive scraps come from two scrapbooks in the Powerhouse Collection, both thought to have been compiled by children between 1880 and 1890.

all disability advice is like •become a detective, your disease is a puzzle •every doctor lies. multiclass Cleric 3 for Zone of Truth. they still lie but now you know •blackmail your insurance •systematically destabilize every part of your life for at least a year •with luck you can now digest food

personal testimonies of the terminated Forest Service employees are so devastating to read — punished for the pursuit of a life in stewardship of the earth, expecting no reward other than the privilege of the job. we are drowning in evil

This photo of Leonard Peltier, finally free, is giving me some strength today

I wanted to share a pill trick that I use with the cats - if they need several small pills I tuck them all into a plain gel capsule. Lubricate with a little canned food or churu and I can get them all in one go instead of multiple pillings. 1/2

True story: a few years ago, I was being interviewed by a reporter for the New York Times. I mentioned the history of eviction statutes and how they tied into Jim Crow. The reporter asked "what's Jim Crow?" When I explained, the reporter didn't believe me and said the US wouldn't do that.

More US history for everyone 2k25. This is what comes of turning schools into STEM job factories with no humanities/social sciences.

Back in the old days, people talked about being a good "netizen." A current version would include things like: - The world is full of many kinds of people - Not everything is for you - Don't yuck their yum - Goddammit, you've got to be kind - Save your condemnation for people who truly deserve it
