Britney made but never received recognition for, and Taylor for writing so vividly about the mental freefall after getting left by a narcissist that she got swept up in lies from in addition to reconciling with her unique experience as a teen star. (2/)

i would argue that the nominations themselves were wins for all. simply for the fact it was mostly women and the fact that the aforementioned albums all touched on subject matter that would've never gotten a nom for fear of alienating male voters
